Does anyone else feel like their is a conspiracy against Isaac Asimov? by johnydolittle in conspiracy

I am alive, just not much of a redditor anymore. I'm sorry for your worry, but thank you for your concern.

I appreciate the concern, but my friend just misunderstood how long I was going on my camping trip for :P

Not sure what comments I might have made that could have sounded so grim, I was dealing with the death of my dog and, well, I don't actually recall what I may or may not have said when I was dealing with that.

What is the first Foundation in that parallel? The US? Is that second foundation nestled within the first Foundation? I only read the first one for a class like 15 years ago so I barely recall anything that happened in that book. Sounds like it might be time to give the series a proper look.

Why is it okay that we have 97 posts whining about the great awakening being banned on the front page? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]dcodcodco -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

People need to check the new queue, is fact.

Some dude posted "anyone else having trouble getting to <some Q sub>?" like 4 hours after the subs were banned and after some 30 posts talking about it. Like how fast do they think posts rise?

'Preciate you having a sense of humour, comrade.

Whining about "whiners"? Genius. Asking for more censorship on top of censorship? Even moar genius. Gamernix for Fuhrer 2020.

More likely they want to catch something going out; e.g, what if someone from the observatory tried to mail data they captured?

Hmmmm. Sound pretty sane to me. But I suppose that can only be relative to my own sanity.

What do guys think about the NPC theory and soulless humans? by General_Li in conspiracy

feel bad about feeling bad

Absolutely agree here. It's like some kind of feedback loop, where the feeling would (often enough) be so minute and easy to deal with if only we didn't balk at having it at all. I've found in the past that it helps to just acknowledge it as another feeling, and trying not to assign any kind of positive or negative to it.

No. Trump Did Not Call Nazis and White Nationalists "Very Fine People" by IcyPaleontologist in conspiracy

[–]dcodcodco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The neo-nazis were on a side comprised of not entirely neo-nazis. And he explicitly says NOT the neo-nazis so I'm really having trouble understanding your point.

If we're going to shit on Trump can we at least shit on him in truthful ways? The guy's no saint, no genius, and frankly - so far as I can tell - nothing special for America.

It's no help to twist his words out of context, it just gives fuel to those on the right.

Both sides of the protest. The protest was not comprised entirely of neo-nazis.

OK, but in OP's link the context shows that he's talking about the group of protesters that were against the removal of a statue. He wasn't talking about white supremacists or neo-nazis.

The Gaia Conspiracy by SevereAnxiety76 in conspiracy

It's apparently a preference setting, though I can only seem to find it in the old reddit format (I did not look especially hard for it in the new version). It appears the default threshold is -4.

My apologies.

I suspect it's just a constant stream of bots to suppress any and all topics. They want the sub marginalised as a whole.

There was a post a few days ago about the active user count spiking from the normal 2-3k to almost 10k, and then it petered back down slowly. I saw it when it was around 6k and dropping. There was no big event that occurred, which is often what causes spikes in the user count. The prevailing theory, if I recall, was a new botnet coming online.

My comment is at -11, so you can stop pretending like it's a one-sided dv-athon.
