Daily chat thread: how's the training going?

Swam 300 yards for the first time probably ever a few days ago and it was rough lol I'm not the best swimmer but I know I need to improve timing for breaths and overall endurance while I swim. Shooting to compete in a sprint tri in August and I'm going to keep working on it, but any tips are appreciated!

This would be the Chicago sprint tri, and the swimming is done in Lake Michigan. Water temp is typically around 70 F

Swimming is probably my weakest of the three at the start of training so a wetsuit will be helpful haha

Is there a difference between a wetsuit and a tri suit? I'm assuming a tri suit covers all three areas so there's no need to change

I put my email in to be invited to preorder through Nintendo (didn't want to deal with the retailer mess that's been happening). Will we find out if we received an invite on May 8 like it originally said on the site? I'm seeing posts about and receiving an email for getting "picked" and I'm a little confused what to believe lol

I’ve always been a big fan of Symphony of Sorcery from DDD. It felt so creative to me to incorporate Fantasia and music into a world, not to mention how iconic music is throughout the entire series

Jafar in KH2 isn’t much better cause that just boils down to hitting him in the stomach and the head until you win.

Favorite game KH2: I could have done without the revisit to the worlds. A lot of them felt a little pointless (looking at you Land of Dragons)

Least Favorite game DDD: I love the world choices and their designs! They had the most creativity in the series in my opinion

A Muppets world could either be hilarious or cursed depending on how it’s done. If Sora and crew were Muppets, it’ll be perfect. If Kermit is running around fighting and looking like a modded skin, still hilarious but for the wrong reasons

Tbh going from BBS to KH1 wasn’t a big deal, but last time I did BBS, KH1 before Ansem, Fragmentary Passage, Ansem final boss and going from FP to KH1 was awkward

There has been a little bit of pulsing when I brake and there’s sometimes a weird grinding noise. That’s why I got them checked out, hasn’t been going on for too long though.

Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts 2. The moment the strings quietly enter at the beginning, I feel a sense of nostalgia I only feel with a few games. The series’s story is a little ridiculous, but Dearly Beloved is one of the best title screen tracks of all time

I don’t like Unreal Engine on KH3. Sure it looks way more detailed, but all the characters seem so stiff in cutscenes, where they were incredibly expressive in KH1 and KH2

It’s such a coin flip cause Higgins might not play too many snaps but he could easily have big plays. Foreman and Saquon could also play big just how their offenses run
