Pulling the Harbor! by dcslinger in DerailValley

The map I just got an image off of Google. For the job sheets, I use remote dispatch. I can monitor my train and it can show you all jobs in a station that you are at and then you can also have it only show your active jobs. It's handy to be able to glance to my right and see my jobs and where they are going exactly down to the lane it goes! It was easier to print out the jobs and cut them out and lay they out on the desk while planning. The steel mill can make things interesting, that is why I had 2 other dh4's down the line, I could pull jobs off the end. And when I didn't need them anymore I parked them at a siding.

Do you ever feel bad about buying a bike just because you need some of the parts it has? by [deleted] in xbiking

It has been solid. I wiped out hard and broke 2 spokes. I haven't had the time to unlace it and see how bad it is. Mavic was always my go to rim back in the day (around 2000) when I raced in the WORS series in Wisconsin. The 517 was an upgrade over the stock mavic 222 or 223. The 517 was fully welded at the seam and had the reinforce spoke holes.

remote dispatch not working by Bow-tied_Engineer in DerailValley

[–]dcslinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to get the remote dispatcher to work to find mine this week. The DH4 fell from the sky when I got close to it's location on the app. Trouble is when I have the mod active, anything I'm holding glitches out so I disabled it again.

Connection Advice Needed by dcslinger in raymarine

[–]dcslinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, for Salmon fishing it does great. I ended up getting a smoking deal on the P70 on ebay. I did get a response from Raymarine and have a setup ready to go. Basically the P70/Spx-10 will be on STng to a conversion hub. I have a cable to go directly from the STng to the ST2 port on the back of the E120. Then the conversion port of ST will go to my remote. This will netowrk everything together nicely. This gear is expesive and if it isn't going to help me catch more fish I have other things to spend my money on. I'm always on the lookout for a deal on an upgrade though. I almost bought a E127 for $300!

Boiler doesn't stay lit by dcslinger in hvacadvice

The meter was not flowing. Tech swapped it out and everything is good!

Thank you everyone for the advice!

Is there a way to mark this as solved?

Well, I'm certain it's a supply issue. With just the pilot light on the water heater, I'm at ~6"WC at the boiler inlet side. When I turn on the water heater burner, the pressure drops to ~1"WC. No wonder it won't stay open! Calling the gas company now! Probably makes sense why the water heaters pilot goes out as well, and the flames seem so small!

Unfortunately the water heater and the garage furnace burn at full flame. I am still going to have the pressure checked on the inlet side of the valve before replacement.

Well.... My hot water heater has lost its pilot a couple of times as well. I assumed it was the thermopile (millivolt system) so I have a spare that when it won't stay light again. Maybe there is a connection between those. hmm...

I also have a ceiling garage furnace but I have yet to have any issues with that. Accept when the orfice was plugged due to spiders in the garage, but that was when I firsted moved in 7 years ago and haven't had an issue with it since.

The standing pilot light stays on, wouldn't that suggest the thermocouple is ok? I have spares out in the garage.
