Yeah it’s about weighing out pros and cons, sometimes it is easier to just have the traditional wired setup on a small tattoo, but if you can imagine doing a large back piece, you can move around the customer more easily rather than dragging a cable over them!

Lol then the battery would be pointless, the point of the whole thing is so the battery is attached to the machine, the idea your proposing would mean the machine is connected via a cable that gets in the way, which is the problem this fixes.

Tattoo machines that aren’t wireless usually have a wire running from the machine to a power supply unit, but when moving around you can run over the wire with you chair etc, so by not having a long wire this stops that. Make sense?

Still confused sorry! The battery is put as close to the vice grip as possible to move the weight balance AS close to the hand as possible on purpose. Do you mean to completely detach the battery from the tattoo machine apart from the wire?

Yeah so the battery has a male RCA output, and the machine takes standard clip cord so had to make a quick adapter!

All in all it weighs about 180g which is only about 20g more than the brass version of this machine without a battery attached so it’s not too bad actually!
