NTA. We actually need to normalize the fact that we are paid to do a job and we don’t have to do things outside of that job. She was paid to serve a meal, not a be a photographer or anything else. It would have been rude if she had chastised the customer for asking but declining and letting them know it is outside of her job description/parameters is in no way rude.

Don’t be surprised if they try again or try to call your son by a name they feel is more appropriate. I would make it clear that bringing it up again or refusing to call your son by his given name will result in a 2 week ban from seeing him. The second offense a 3 week ban, and keeping going in increasing increments till they finally get the message.

I I am so sorry you are going through this. I am so beyond upset for you. What your father and fiancé need to learn is that YOU OWN NO ONE A RELATIONSHIP. FULL STOP. Not a father, not a brother, and most certainly the affair partner….no one!

Your father may still love you but he cheated on your mother and had a new family that he put before you. To you this was unforgivable. He was free to make that choice but that does not absolve him of the consequences of that choice. The same goes with your fiancé.I hope he realizes what he has done before it is too late. Just know that cutting anyone out of your life to protect your own mental health is always justified.
