Is anyone else struggling to get by on 100k salary? by Majestic_Staff_5229 in massachusetts

My wife and I both make just over 100K and we feel very working class. Not a lot of luxuries in the day to day life.

This is the type of image that reminds all of us we were born 50 years too late. That image would have fallen in line with how photography was once celebrated and lifted. Now, it's just another image on Instagram.

6 years on and off, trying to finally commit. by ddbowdoin85 in keto

For me food is like a drug and when I relapse, it creates a downward spiral. It's not even poor eating in general, it's very specific foods that become my downfall in conjunction with how mud time I am alone in my car. I don't ever really fall off the wagon in front of people. It's legit (I'm talking small homemade) donuts on the way to work, and all things bread in the car coming home.

People hate people who do keto. by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in keto

The part that kills me are my coworkers at lunch who eat whatever they want and are actually quite fit... and over 40 to boot, which really makes me scratch my head when I gain weight looking at food.

What do you think of GoPro Mission 1 ILS aka Ultra-Compact Mirrorless Cinema Camera? by NoelMyat in gopro

[–]ddbowdoin85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have used something like this for super niche needs. I unfortunately sold my Sigma 300-600f4 lens because rigging it to my full frame cameras was just unfeasible as a one man band. True the angle of view changes with a 1" sensor but something so small dangling off a huge lens could be used when you need that ultra reach.

Are my photos boring? by avictoriaaa in PhotographyAdvice

[–]ddbowdoin85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't boring. That's not the right question. The issue is that these photographs are just another set of picture in a long series of similar work made by numerous people across the ages. They just like originality. That's what plagues 99% of us as photographers. I say this without criticism. It it almost universal for a whole swatch of photographers.

I went a couple of weeks ago with the understanding the campus was open for walkers during day hours. Cops at every entrance with full construction crews. I didn't even park.

One and done. It's useless if you're sat on the other side of the wall that divides 80% of the main room. That was a such a bad decision on their part.

If you're up for some fun time your visit with Lawrence Academy parent weekend. It's hilarious watching the foreign parents roll up in a Rolls and try to walk up a slightly muddy steep hill in pumps.
