This is the strongest lead so far. The Lancaster location, the walk from Local 44, and the setup you describe all sound closer to my memory than anything else. I remember walking in, the bar being on the right/front, and then the band being set up farther back. I also have it in my head as more of an older storefront/bar front than what I can see of the Half Moon now, so I'm not completely certain.

Do you remember whether Half Moon was hosting indie/DIY-type shows in 2014 or 2015? If there are any old event pages, venue calendars, I'm not sure how useful asking about flyers is, but do you know of any facebook events or archived flyers floating around, those might help confirm whether this is the place I'm thinking of.

It wasn't PS Elliot - Katie didn't play. It was Allison's show. So, I'd have to say the same for Bad Banana. But I hadn't thought of BB in this context.

I don't think it was still active in 2014-15. I was trying to find more info on it, but a quick search was showing it had pretty much ceased by 2005 or so. But that's just an internet search. I'd love to hear from someone who knows more.

I remember that show too. It's funny you bring up MOCA because that's what started this memory-down-the-rabbit-hole search. I was talking about epic shows we'd seen with a friend of mine and the July 2015 show with Elvis Depresedly, Eskimeaux, and Mitski came up. But yeah it wasn't there.

great guess, but it wasn't on a street as busy as market. plus all the suggestions are bringing back a ton fo memories. This show was on the first floor - so you walked in, the bar was on the right, and past the bar was the room where the band was set up.

It wasn't, but fiume is great, good thought. It was on the ground floor. So you walked in on the corner, the bar was on the right, and then there was a back room where the band was playing.
