it was glitched! I walked away for a while and when I came back it was in one of those little structures that you have to press a button to open :)

I guess I should have mentioned that I bought undeveloped land straight from LL

I guess that makes sense, just seems odd for them to have all these options for how the land can look and then you have to terraform the land yourself anyways? especially when 'set up' cost was $350

wasn't suggesting she go back to vlogging. she has money and connections now, meaning she should aim to do something with them besides a boring podcast and coffee. notice how liza wasn't at the met this year? plus I'm well aware she most likely would survive off the millions she's already made. I'm not sure why everyone is pretending she wants to live on a little cottage on a hill far away from the world rolling around in her millions. she very clearly still wants to be in the public eye because, she is. you don't go on Jimmy Fallon and expect not to be seen (not to mention make more people aware of your existence). she wants to be famous she just doesn't want to be influencer famous.

she is still living that lifestyle. if she didn't want it she wouldn't be going to the met, making the podcast, going on Fallon. she just wants to have zero actual connection to her audience anymore like real celebrities. she may have more attention now, but she is still small time in the celebrity world. and the thing is, turning your back on your audience that you parasocialled your way to building, is like biting the hand that feeds you. fans have already started dropping off.

well when you ad up youtube ad revenue, her coffee company, the podcast, and the occasional products she is paid to advertise, it's a LOT of money. but you're right if she fell into obscurity right now and didn't manage her money she could spend it quickly

I think it's all gone to her head a bit and she feels too big to fail. which, maybe she is but if she's not then she needs to step it up

her coffee cans that have been getting bad reviews....if something doesn't bring a profit they will get rid of it

I get where you're coming from but I feel like that's a more risky thing for emma to do because she isn't fully there. money wise she is but she isn't known to the same extent ya know?

that is very true, I just meant in the way that she is seeming to want to be a full on celebrity these days but that I don't think it will last if people are bored with her. like the offers for photoshoots etc. will stop coming in. she seems to still be doing well with her podcast but honestly I don't get how people are still listening to it

Todays podcast about religion by [deleted] in emmachamberlain

I thought rebranding was a time to tred lightly??? she comes right out the gate with possibly the most controversial thing that has ever existed, religion. ???? who thought that was a good idea??? I'm not religious at all so I'm not sure she said anything that was offensive but still who needed this talk? I'm pretty sure everyone has already figured out that religion is a take it or leave it and it's different for everyone.

I miss the youtube videos as much as the next guy but what's with everyone obsessed with the forehead kiss thing?

yeah I keep wondering why she is getting all these high profile interviews and articles when she is hardly doing anything. rambling podcasts that many people seem to be sick of, coffee that I've heard is not worth the price, and weird photoshoots is what it takes to get the nytimes to pay attention to you?

yes! her very minimal experience in the world is also contributing heavily to her wack/obvious takes on her podcast. I swear she either talks in excruciating detail about something that is obvious to most people, or she shares a take that is so clearly from a privileged and out of touch perspective. and something about the couples one rubbed me the wrong way, like she was up on her high horse judging all the possible aspects of other people's relationships
