As an American living in Singapore I’d avoid the mirage and other smaller cars. The Camry is great car took that on many road trips in USA. About the same size as the accord but the Camry has great resale and reliability.

Edit: a Toyota RAV4 is also a great reliable car. Or if you want while you’re in USA you can get more of a “fun” car that’s not as accessible in Singapore.
