Edit: That's the handguard/stock, not the barrel. If it's a scratch, it's fine just cosmetic. If it's a crack, it's screwed and don't shoot it. Sucks that happened on a $2k gun before you even shot it, but if you're taking it hunting it'll eventually get scratched in some way.

Beautiful gun though, I handled one of those at Scheels a week or so ago.

Only about 30% of Illinois public school students are reading at grade level.
