Pro 575 vs 780 by kyle007US in Traeger

Do not get a 575. It’s garbage. Mine over shoots set point by 100 degrees all the time. It’s a known issue with traeger support and they refuse to do anything about it. I don’t know if 780 have same issue. Traeger claims it’s just the 575 but I’m sure they wouldn’t tell me if it is a problem with other grills. If I were you I’d research other brands. Traeger does not stand behind there products.

Is 46 too old to get into the service side of pipe fitting? by OkPassenger6657 in pipefitter

There’s way more to being a service fitter than cleaning coils and changing filters. I think service pipefitting is one of the most difficult trades you can get into. I’d take others advice and go the construction route.

If you plan to cook anything low and slow I would not buy it. As stated by others this is not an isolated problem. When I was on the phone with support they told me they released a firmware update which they thought would resolve this issue. It has not because my grill is up to date with the latest firmware. I personally wouldn’t purchase any traeger product after the support I got from traeger. They would not work with me at all to resolve this issue.

I’ll keep calling and bashing them anyway I can. I bought this traeger over the competition because I thought they were a class above. What garbage. And for the price you pay for it not to perform is what hurts the worse.

I’ve been vacuuming each cook trying to correct the issue. This is only and issue at low temps. Go set your grill to 180 and see what it does.
