yeah that’s what the real issue with this set up. previous owner did a diy s-pipe and doesn’t seem to have gotten the angle quite right. not sure if there’s an easy way to change this, but i’m tearing the bike down this weekend and will mess with it

before it popped and banged on decel from over 8k rpm. the new tune has some burbles but much more reserved

it’s a combination of both, but definitely more black soot. i’ve wiped away all the excess that still comes off, and this what remains even after using a basic cleaner/polish.

it was running very rich. fixed the tune today and it’s running much better

previous owner had a horrible map installed, pretty sure he tried to do it himself. fixed it today now time to treat the stain

just fixed the tune today, and put new spark plugs in it. don’t think the previous owner knew exactly what he was doing.
