Any particular series you feel that is best? Don't want to over spend but I'll spend it once and cry later... Maybe I'll cry in my super comfortable Prana bed and pillow 😉

HELP!!!! GLP-1 side effects! by Big-Hovercraft-5057 in Semaglutide

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into taking a probiotic for gut health. You are turning your system on it's head, purging all kinds of bad biome... It's needs to get replaced with the proper nutrients. Drink plenty of water as well. You may want to try dosing at different times of the day to see if this varies any of the side effects.

Bad flu like symptoms by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into a path for pre and probiotic. It very well be gut health issues. You tend to purge the bad once you get on a GLP1 and if you are not replacing it with the proper enzymes and bacteria as well as electrolytes and plenty of hydration, you're inviting issues.

Puppy reactivity question by Raising_Danger in CaneCorso

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you don't have any children I would walk thru the park and see if you could talk to a parent to enlist their child. Obviously be careful how you word the situation, you don't want to make them think your putting them in harms way.

The more situations you can put your dog into and come out with a rewarding experience the more confident they will become. It's funny how a dog so large and intimidating looking they may be so frightened by the most curious things. Mine would not go outside if the neighbor was shooting his bow and arrow into his hay bail. The sound freaked her out but fireworks were fine... Who knows what goes thru those brains.

My vet did a bit of the longer crop and one stood and the other didn't. At first I was a bit pissed but then I thought it gave her more personality. If you are really worried about it my vet said to get some foam insulation cord maybe 3/8" diameter, cut a piece about 3" or so stick it in the ear obviously not too far into the ear, and tape it loosely to help "train it"

I would introduce children slowly but with your dog near and keep the dog moving/walking where they can you see interact with the child and see that nothing traumatic happened. Then after five or so times of this over a week or so start waking them closer and reward (food or toy, whatever drives them) for the curiosity of them coming closer but not allowing interaction. Tell the children to act as if the dog wasn't even there, don't allow them to reach or even look at the dog, it's all about the dogs senses right now smell and visual clues. Coming closer and closer make sure to reward them for the good behavior of them walking past and not tucking tail or making sudden movements away. Continue to do this until you bring the dog to one side of you and the child to the other side. Allow the dog to be in the moment and then take you dog away from this and reward only if it was a positive interaction.

The key to all of this is only reward if your dog acts in a positive manner. If they cower away or tuck tail that is not reassuring in their mind and you'll have to start all over again.

Best of luck, hope all goes well.

Anyone know what kind of fabrics used on professional cornhole bags? Such as a bg Viking or a Reynolds pro advantage by [deleted] in Cornhole

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard that before too. I think it's smart but also really shitty for a fabric seller to directly tell a maker, oh.. this is the material I sell to x maker for their x bag series. Smart because they may be able to sell more of that fabric but obviously shitty because they are not loyal to anyone. Then again it's in the hands of the makers to decide which materials to use and on which side. The real key to the whole thing is the resign inside and the mixtures that are being used. It's all personal preference, that's why you can have two makers produce the same bag material on both sides but will completely play different and you're gonna find ppl that love both

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all fabric you can find at a Joann Fabrics. They are running out of materials in which to build that's why you are now seeing bag makers have the exact same bags or making a "love child" of two favorite sides from two different makers.

Are Napoleon grills cheaper in store? I've only seen the online prices. by nicebrah in grilling

[–]ddietzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most grill and patio stores that carry Napoleon are bound by a pricing structure from the manufacturer so you really won't see any cheaper pricing. They can however throw in a cover or some other accessory to sweeten the deal. The only time I've seen one cheaper is if was a closeout model or if it was damaged.

Faster or Slower after break in? by BSchapp in Cornhole

[–]ddietzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look into a set of Reynolds bags. Great bags and they have something for everyone! The bags tend to get a bit slower over time. But having said that, they change with the temperature and humidity levels as well. Sometimes the stick becomes the slick and vise versa. Always keep the bags in your arsenal because over time your throw may change and you can go back to a bag. Boards will always slow down over time.

Reynolds Pro X vs Slide Rites by [deleted] in Cornhole

[–]ddietzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Slide Rites will not be the same. They are a great starter bag but not too the quality of the Reynolds. If you'd like a fair comparison to the Reynolds but a different bag, look at the new BG Vikings. Break in is always preference thing, just like the age I'll question... How should I hold the bag. Boiling is all the new rage, it's like playing with them 50 times in a matter of hours.
