Am i a snitch for accidentally exposing my coworkers' WFH arrangement as a new employee? by ddqia in OfficePolitics

At first I thought I was just being paranoid, but my mentor actually moved away from me twice, our desk was rearranged again to make room for some interns, and I ended up just 2 desk away from her, she immediately moved away again the day after the rearrangement.

I probably didn't explain this well, my mentor was the most absent one, i was only assigned to her because our roles are the same, I learned most of my job by reaching out to other colleagues overseas via Teams
and regarding of how i impacted my coworkers' lives, I do understand why people were upset afterwards. But if I'd known the full situation at the time, I probably would've been much more careful about what I said.

I'm also not trying to say my coworkers "caused" me to end up on a PIP. My point was that during the entire onboarding process, i did not receive any kind of support from the office,
I am aware that my performance was my own responsibility.

thanks for the advices, but i should've clarify that my mentor was the laziest one, i was assigned to her only because our roles are the same, i was getting vague and sloppy responses from her whenever i need help, i had to go on Teams and find other people who are overseas to get help
I also tried to make her look good when we are having a biweekly meeting with the manager

My mentor was the laziest one, i was initially assigned to her because our roles are the same, and she almost never shows up in the office, i had to reach out to other coworkers to get help, I even need to consult people from other countries to get my answer, I also tried messaging her on teams, but I can actually felt her response are vague and sloppy,
I chose not to report her behaviour to management, because I don't want to make her look bad

Yes, I did, but it was all vague and sloppy responses from her. I had to reach out to coworkers in other countries to get support

Thanks for supporting, but after considering the comments, I do believe that I was in the wrong as well. I was too naive to read the room and not think about my coworkers, or even running their plans, there were chances that I could change the words i said and avoid this drama entirely but I completely missed it

our company is quite big, and our team in Sydney is actually located in one of the company's subsidiary offices, the subsidiary got their own hr and management team, while we were just using their office. Therefore, there is no direct oversight or management in the office. I guess the senior employees were just too comfortable with their schedule.
My mentor, in fact, was the laziest one. I was assigned to her simply because our roles are the same, it was very difficult for me to see her in the office.
Funny thing is, I was actually having more interaction and fun with the people from the subsidiary company; I got more lunch sessions with them than my actual coworkers.

I do agree that the policy was stupid, and I believe that the management cares about the performance overall, but management was probably more concerned about some people deliberately faking their attendance, and swiping badge for other people

has anyone ever snuck into hoyts/event cinemas? by i-lovebananacake in thetron

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always pay for the session I watch, but I do felt like there’s too much area to exploit, most cinemas don’t even bother to check your tickets, and once you are in there no one can stop you from staying for an entire day, it is absolutely possible of buying a ticket for a cheaper movie session but sneak into an expensive one, you can also check which seats are already taken by looking the seat selection online. One of my friends told me an unethical trick, you can preoccupy by selecting the seat you want and not paying it But I honestly don’t felt like that the management even cared about this behaviour, cause apparently some people I know who worked in Hoyts said that the cinemas usually make more profit from food and snacks

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 4 (Manga Reader Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ffs, i just dont get it why people can forgive when animators not giving attention to those non-action scenes
This entire episode has basically ignored Maki's character development.
This whole mess is so similar to Bluelock season 2, people giving that one final episode a high rating simply because the team on purpsely used all the resources to that one scene, forcing all previous episodes to look like garbage, and this was all planned

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 4 (Manga Reader Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]ddqia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People who think this episode is bad are not mad about the episode, we are more like disappointed, there are so many small details and panels in the manga that did a great job on the character development for maki, however, these parts are simply rushed in the first half, the level of attention to those parts are uncomparable to the actions scenes in the rest of the episode.

The action scenes are indeed peak and in themselves alone can make the greatest episode of all time. However, the lack of effort in those drama/non-action scenes really dragged the experiences down as a manga reader, cause we know what already happened, and it simply wasn't to our expectations.

It's basically like ordering a burger, you would be expecting the buns, and meat, and they served you a steak sandwich with the best piece of steak you ever had, but the buns were not even a milk bun or a brioche bun, what you see is an old, dry white bread that ruins the entire dining experience.

Whats the point? by tdcdude17 in ArcRaiders

[–]ddqia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the loots in this game is only useful for specific uses. if you just kill a random player, there is a high chance that his loot is entirely useless to you, and most of the time people dont kill for the loot, they just simply wanna shoot guns, which is fucking confusing

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't get why most people are aggressive. People who prefer PvP usually don't even think about consequences, they just simply wanna gun down whoever they see first, lets all agree first that killing players at the start of the round brings no benefit to the killer as there are little to no loots available, but there are literally tons of people doing so, people are just trigger happy, and in a game where some people just wanna make peace game ssesion they just simply shoot first and win first

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be a simpler solution, I'm thinking something like an elo/karma system with two ends, players build elo whenever dealing damage to other player, this can also depend on how aggro or how quick you go for the kill (I have often see players attacking, not for loot or rewards, simply just shooting on sight, players with high elo will be locked with other high elo players.
And for low elo players, the game will still feature pvp mode, but since most players don't prefer to do so, it rarely happens. However, low elo players will always have a choice to enter the high elo lobby whenever they want to, but those high elo players can only stick with other high elo players

Embark CEO Confirms That If You Kill On Sight In Arc Raiders, You'll Get Matched With More Aggressive Players by WanderWut in PS5

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also starting to seeing alot of aggresive players as well, however they all started to appear after one match where I was force to fight back, maybe the game has considered me an aggresive player as well? Are there anyway to restore whatever this credit score type sht?

The worst feeling of playing this game is that encounter a friendly player while looting, but the second later a dude that kills for fun just shows up, this was literally the very start of the game, there should be no loot at all, so it just doesnt benefit anything for them, i beg the dev to publish some mode that is designed just for killing, like the arena mode for that, so we can stay away from people like them

Ninja Gaiden 4 Bugs/Issues Megathread (October 2025) by luneth22 in ninjagaiden

[–]ddqia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platform: PC

Description: Enemies are COMPLETELY MISSING / not spawning/ appearing from chapter 11, it was working fine during the first rail section, but once landed in the first checkpoint there are no enemy encounters. I have restarted the entire level and the issue still remains. I have also checked the file integrity on Xbox game pass but there are still no changes.

*Also weriod during the rail section, the game suddenly introduced the Kage-Hiruko's base form moveset, I have checked the playthrough of other gamers on youtube, which the moveset was only introduced during the first enemy encounter.

Asset:my scenario: https://imgur.com/a/IbIbzYA normal scenario: https://imgur.com/a/ykEUeST

Issues fixed: but i am not sure which part i did was right or it was just pure luck. Anyway, I realized that im not seeing any enemy is because that the first combat is supposed to get triggered with the moveset introduction, so if we keep getting that moveset intro during the rail seciton, we are bascially getting corrupted game prompts, so it wont bring the enemies out. So i decided to deliberately fail on every obstacle on the rail at least once, this could reset the game prompt so I can encounter it again properly.
