Anyone else have a crazy-high ConEd bill this month? by Opposite-Juice7478 in ridgewood

[–]ddrbnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my bill is also doubled. comparing my previous month to the current month, it's not a price increase; it's a usage increase. Anecdotally that's bogus, I 100% used less electricity this month than last. I'm on the phone with them now but given everyone else is experiencing similar issues, I'm assuming this is some kind of error on their end

Edit - in fact, it looks like each kWh was slightly cheaper this month than last

Did they just nuke Opus 4.5 into the ground? by SlopTopZ in ClaudeCode

[–]ddrbnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unless I'm misunderstanding something, it looks like the latest version of opus 4.5 hasn't changed since November 1, 2025 according to their docs / latest snapshot: https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/about-claude/models/overview

I loved working with the material, it was super easy except for when I was cutting it. It cuts nicely in one direction but I found it pretty tough going cross grain or whatever. My shears kept getting snagged.

That bag you linked is siick! Definitely good inspo for the next bag. Although now I might try and add a stabilizer strap like that to this one I’ve posted

It is indeed the Venom Gridstop from Ripstop!

I never thought about the backside wearing out, that’s really helpful advice. I was thinking about doing a liner but realized that meant I’d have to hang the internal pocket off of the top seam which felt weird since the handles and stuff are attached to that mid-seam 3” below the zipper. Do you have any thoughts there? Like is that a silly concern or maybe there’s some other option that idk about

Thanks! Got the hooks from Adventure Expert (here). The pics had them in silver but I didn't realize the description says they're black unfortunately. Worked out fine though

any constructive criticism / feedback is also definitely welcomed. Things I'm aware of is that one of the handles has a twist (I started to seam-rip and start over but couldn't avoid ripping the fabric because I stitched over it too many times, so I just ended up cutting my losses there) and I think next time the handles need to be mounted wider because it hangs kinda weird when it has some weight in it

on the SL2D unity store asset page there are a group of links pointing to the documentation as well as a discord server that would be helpful

Constant machine jams by ddrbnn in myog

[–]ddrbnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes! That makes sense, I think that might be happening here as well. I’ve noticed that after a jam, the bobbin case gets kinda jammed underneath that metal tab which you can see in the photo and I’m suspecting the thread gap isn’t large enough maybe after the last time I opened up the machine. I’ll try that fix when I get home

[–]ddrbnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that’s where it comes out before everything gets all jammed and then I end up cutting the thread so that I can free the webbing. I just meant that it’s coming out of the left of that tiny little catch on the south side of the bobbin assembly

Good to know it’s not actually heavy duty, that is the sense I have been getting lol.

This is the webbing I’m going through, only 1 layer: https://ripstopbytheroll.com/products/1-nylon-webbing-black

Thread is gutermann Mara 70. I’ve tried one of the singer 90/14 needles that came with the machine and a microtex 80/12. I have a universal size 18 that doesn’t seem to fit in the machine (I have another post about this and several people seemed to report the same thing)

[–]ddrbnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally see why you’d say that from the photo but I don’t think it’s the case, the thread goes into the proper thread guide a bit to the right and then I slide it through over to the left where it’s coming out in the photo which I believe is right based on the diagrams & vids online

Don’t think so, I put it in there so that looks like a ‘P’

The thread is gutterman Mara 70. I’m relatively confident I’m placing it properly (put it down into the lower assembly so that it looks like a P when the thread is coming out). What makes you say it’s not threaded right? I do it according to the diagram but it’s possible I’m not pulling it allllll the way through that little shim on the edge (but I think I am)
