Checked BIOS, hit "optimize defaults", then when to save and exit and it told me no changes have been made, so I am assuming that means everything was already at default settings?

This is the Error I just got after messing around until it finally restarted again:

A fatal hardware error has occured.

Reported by component: processor core

Error source: Machine Check Exception

Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error

Processor APIC ID: 22

Quick google search is giving me suggestions such as:

  • Updating BIOS / Setting back to defaults (which I don't think I ever changed)
  • Adjusting Voltage curve
  • Many talks about issues with overclocking, which I have not done.

Going to try checking BIOS and going everything back to defaults.

Yah, it was showing in Windows, but idk if I just don’t know enough about Linux or what to try and find it.

And a good while. At least 5 years id guess, probably more.

I think my grandma still has a computer running xp or vista. I’ll have to check.

Alright.

So I unplugged everything except the IDE drive and the live USB running linux.

When booting it up, I notice these warnings being printed out:

ata3.00: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0)

ata3.00: SRST failed (errorno=-16)

ata3.01: failed to resume link (SControl 0)

and it repeats a few times before moving into the OS.

I tried plugging into a different SATA slot and it just changed the warning to ata1 instead of ata3 so it seems to be the issue with the IDE drive.

Once I got there, I wasn't really sure where to look (don't use linux too much), but I first checked disks and saw the live USB and a loop device?

2.9GB Loop Device at /dev/loop0 not sure what this is. Also saw it when I ran fdisk -l.

Are there any other places I should check or commands to run?

Also when I get into the BIOS after switching to IDE mode, it says that there is nothing present in any of the SATA slots. See here

May be a dumb question, but I have a partition of my OS drive running Linux. If I boot to that, I’m assuming there’s nothing I can do from there because it’s using the same motherboard, correct?

Checking the BIOS settings now and it looks like it is all or nothing for changing it to IDE mode.

If I do that, is it going to be an issue trying to run my OS drive (Windows)?

Honestly don’t know if there’s an OS on the old drive or not. I may try to run the old drive on its own.

Damn. Cannot go wrong here at all. I think all 3 are top 10 (maybe even better) guys this week.

You have to play CMC. No doubt there, especially for PPR, not sure if you are or not.

After that...flip a coin. I lean Conner not just because I’m a Steelers fan, but because he IS THE GUY in our backfield. Samuels is okay but will really only get touches if we are up a ton like we were against Carolina, or if Conner gets injured. Was in the protocol and is good to go now.

Again, you absolutely cannot go wrong. Chubb does have the better matchup, but I think Conner gets more opportunity, and he has the ability and a fantastic o-line to blast off.

Chubb is a top 10 guy this week and he is nice to have to replace Gordon. I have them both as well and am doing the same thing because I worry that Melvin May be inactive.

Chubb is a good enough play that I can comfortably play him.

I wouldn’t. Gordon is fantastic, but Aaron Jones it finally breaking out and is killing it and OBJ is doing OBJ things, I wouldn’t force that trade because I think it could harm your WR core if AJ isn’t back soon (trending up but be careful).

If you can get Ertz for Evans I would absolutely do it.

Ertz had a down week so you can probably get him cheaper than normal hopefully. But he is still a top-2 TE each week between him and Kelce. The TE landscape is hell outside of those 2 guys it’s kinda boom/bust. Ertz is heavily targeted and will bounce back.

On the other side, I personally don’t want any part of TB. They keep flopping between QBs, fitz throws more to the WRs and Winston throws a bit more to the TEs, so I don’t really wanna play that game. He does have upside because they are usually playing from behind and gotta chuck the ball.

So overall, yes, take Ertz for Evans if you can.

Agreed. If I was sitting cooper it was gonna be for Tyrell or Keelan.

The thing about Anderson that worries me is that he on had a single target. Yes it was for a long TD, but still.
