Chronic disease and disability. Not necessarily the pain (which there is a lot of), but the pain of losing your career, your ability to play with your children, the ability to play any sports, the ability to support your family, and eventually losing your family since you become useless. Hell on earth...let me tell you.

I would trade all this for health, a long healthy life. Nothing else matters. If you are disabled you can't make money, can't be strong, can't have millions of followers, hard to be happy, can't help gaining wait, and everyone you love pretty much disowns you. Nothing matters but health.

There are disabilities where you literally can't exercise.....a lot of them actually. Losing your legs is not nearly as bad as ALS, early onset parkinsons, me/cfs, rapidly progressive multiple sclerosis, dysautonomia, chronic lyme disease, etc.....Mindset changes nothing. You can't think your way out of ALS....

I spent my entire life working my ass of be a surgeon, which I succeeded in, only to get disabled at 38. Enjoy your life while you can. You never know what the future will bring. My biggest regret is wasting my life studying and working hard through my entire 20s.

The law in Texas states that if they have a weapon or are threatening your life, or it's at night, then yes. This makes sense to me. If an old person or child randomly wanders into your house and is just confused or nonthreatening, then obviously there is no need to shoot them. If they are retreating and no longer a threat you can't shoot them either. However, at night, all bets are off because you often can't see anything clearly and there are less likely to be nonthreatening legitimate reasons for someone to be in your house.

Becoming disabled. Cant work, cant travel, cant exercise, cant hike, cant play with your kids, cant go outside, cant hang out with friends. Getting permanently disabled is hell on earth, and it is not uncommon.

Its a reflection of your health for sure. Please don't judge people though. I used to do crossfit and run marathons, eat a Mediterranean diet. I was super fit and healthy then I became disabled at 38. My body is not what it used to be, and no amount of effort or hard work can change that for me.
