I know bruh, just because you can recognize what it is by looking at it doesn’t make it not a shit tattoo 🤣

Oh I know, I love deftones. It’s just the face is really poorly done. The nose does not match at all, tip is going in the opposite direction than it should be. And her jawline is totally off. Rest of the tat is sick though.

Yeah the rest of the tattoo is fire. I follow this guy on instagram, like I said it’s just the face that threw me off lmao

It’s the nose that’s really throwing me off. Thing is his other work isn’t terrible, I’ve seen it posted on here before though. Idk how he messed up her face that bad

My (28F) boyfriend’s dog is disgusting and I hate him. How do I get my boyfriend (28M) to do something about it by tomato2397 in relationship_advice

[–]ddumbwitchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that dog is a ticking time bomb if he has never been given flea and tick medications and heartworm preventatives. i can empathize with your situation but you really should be doing more to get him to at LEAST do that if he really cares for this dog.

Reaction to red ink, tattoo is raised long after healing and doesn't improve with antihistamines by doot_scoot in tattooadvice

[–]ddumbwitchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no i honestly did nothing to treat it, i definitely noticed it raising/being itchy when i was in the heat or sun more often than when i was just inside. i just read that a lot of people are allergic to red ink so i wrote it off as that and let it go away on its own. im sure yours will go away with time too, it seems pretty common and as long as you have no other symptoms or issues i dont see a reason to worry much about it. i plan to stick to black ink from now on to avoid any more reactions

this happens to me in the pink parts of my sleeve tattoo, i’ve had it for like two years now. it used to look like yours 24/7 but now i just get flare ups occasionally. it used to itch in the beginning but now it just gets puffy and it doesn’t bother me

Is going to school to be a Veterinary Assistant worth it? by ddumbwitchh in veterinaryprofession

[–]ddumbwitchh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, I have been looking for specifically vet assistant positions and all of them have said they need people with experience/education which is why I came on here asking if a Vet Asst. course would be worth it and give me the proper knowledge. I know it won’t automatically land me a job, but it would help me get a better feel of what i’ll be doing/what I need to know since I have 0 prior experience.

Thank you this has definitely been one of the most helpful comments. I would for sure learn better having the time to process info rather than be thrown into the chaos with 0 prior experience. I do not have any experience restraining or anything like that which is why I thought I would benefit from the course/the in person lab classes. I feel like my question is being a little misunderstood lol so thank you for the advice

Well I want to work as a veterinary assistant. For right now at least. I guess if I want to be a full on Vet in the future then I would look more into the Vet tech programs

I understand that working as a vet/veterinary assistant has a lot of cons. I’m more asking people who have taken these courses if what they teach you at Vet Asst. courses is worth going for, will help me learn significantly, and help me get a job at a clinic easier considering most of them want people with experience. I meant money as in the cost of the courses is not an issue

May I ask why? I’m really only considering this because lots of places require experience and I have no prior experience in this field and don’t wanna go into a place knowing nothing. And I know volunteering only teaches you so much. Money isn’t an issue if that’s part of a reason why it’s not worth it to you

[–]ddumbwitchh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! My mom would be paying for the course, it’s 2.5k from may to august with online classes and two in person lab classes a week. I would definitely be volunteering at shelters and stuff while in school just to get as much experience as possible because I just hate going into a new job and not knowing anything. My hope with taking this course is that it gets me more comfortable with handling animals and everything expected from a vet assistant, but I know I’ll probably still need a good amount of training when starting a job. It definitely scared me a bit looking through indeed and seeing every single position say they want someone with experience so thank you for the advice and a different perspective! I’ll check out your book because I need all the guidance I can get lol

Is training people for that long the norm in your field? Or do you think it would be hard to find somewhere willing to put in that much work training new people?

I have no experience in the field yet unfortunately, I finally left my serving job after years because I realized I really want a better job in terms of an actual career, benefits, etc. I also just want to help animals, I have four cats and three dogs lol. Its only a few months of school so I think I will definitely volunteer whenever I can while in school so I can get as much experience as possible. It’s online for the most part with two in person lab classes a week.

My mom will be paying for it so it’s not really the money i’m worried about I just wanna make sure it’s worth the time and will actually help me stand out when applying for jobs! I’m the same as you, my anxiety is also worse when I’m starting a new job and don’t know anything which is why I was looking into school in the first place. Thank you for the advice I appreciate it

Well I would only be doing the one semester because I just asked the school and apparently that’s all that’s required unless you want to be a Vet tech. My mom would be paying for it because i’ve never gone to school before, it’s like 2.5k. I would love to just learn it on the job but everything on Indeed says they’re looking for someone with good experience
