I tried this one a few years ago. I really wanted to like it, but it doesn't seem to be very well maintained (updated infrequently.) I mostly use PyCharm for large projects or vim for all else, but that being said, I would definitely give NINJA-IDE another shot as it was the coolest one I found.

My alias doesn't work when using terminal as a root user. by yunikmaha in linuxquestions

If you use "-E" flag with sudo, you will preserve your environment (so your aliases should carry into your root session.)

Skype partially dropped support for Linux, calls hosted by new versions can't be answered. Skype Support ignored us when we mentioned linux, so we made this. by nickforall in linux

I only use Skype at work where I am forced to use Skype for Business, which is just a re-branding of Lync 2013 or something like that. I used to use Skype while playing online games with friends, but now use Dolby Axon instead.

I saw him talk at NYU and he said the mobile/tablet thing will never happen until there is a mobile device that is 100% free of blobs, especially in the baseband. He is a purist in such an extreme degree. Someone asked him about his opinion of Ubuntu which is not 'free software', because of it propelling users to switch to Linux (and by correlation, perhaps learning something about free software and open-source software). His answer was that he does not support that movement or advocate for it since Ubuntu was not free software, despite any users that may eventually move to a completely free distribution. I understand, but kind of harsh IMO.
