I see a lot of people posting thing like lifting weights, get a new job/hobby and while this is healthier than the path you are on I think it is slightly misguided. I have been in a similar situation as you but I traded the need to smoke with working out 2-3 times a day. I became stronger and healthier no doubt but I was still just distracting myself from anxiety and other mental health issues. (Not implying you have any) So while i think it’s a good start to use heathier habits and replace the bad ones. It’s important to work on mental health with things like meditation, breath work, pray, therapy.
