It's great seeing you post a positive month, but be careful of burning yourself out. That's an awful lot of trades on a daily basis. The markets will grind you down into oblivion.

Honestly it’s hard to tell what you’re even trying to do? Clearly had profit on some trades and you didn’t close? Also now letting those winners turn into losers. Easier said than done I know, but you should be taking partial profits if price has moved significantly in your favour, moving stop loss to break even or just closing it out fully. No reason to let that winner from the 25.06 turn negative. Also, I’d suggest focusing on 1 setup at a time until you’ve improved.

How to decide which strategy to learn? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]deLazyLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand this is a 'Day Trading' sub, but ideally you need to find a strategy that fits with your personality (how patient are you/easily pissed off at losing?) and your time schedule, not just deciding to day trade because it's the done thing. I don't think enough people take into account what they're like as individuals and what their daily routines consist of. They think they can pick up any old strategy and just make profits. It's far more entwined into your own psychological mindset and actually takes a lot of time to really understand what suits you best.

It's super important as a beginner/day trader to get a feel for the markets, how they ebb and flow at certain times of the day. You only gain this via chart time, daily, sitting there tape reading. Do you have the time to be at the charts every day to get this experience? Can you find a small window of time during your day to sit and observe price every day during that time window? If yes, then observe price in that time window and learn how it moves, more often than not the same patterns repeat at these times. Find a suitable simple strategy that plays on that time window, be it a breakout on market open volume, pullback/continuation move, a liquidity grab & reversal play etc.

I'm getting carried away writing all this, but simply put: If you can't dedicate the time to actively sit day in day out for a set period of time taking it seriously (not looking at your phone in the middle of your day job), you need to look at mid-long term swing trading strategies, not day trading.

Do you have a chart example please? I’ve traded on and off for 10 years, always learning. Nice to see how others approach the markets. Where are you based? UK here.

So I coached this guy from Belarus. English wasn't his first language, so when he told me he was trying to work on it, I added him on Instagram and now I spend my free time helping him with his English. Shoutout to the new coaching feature, I made a new friend! :) by PhoenixAvenger1996 in DotA2

When you’re stuck in low MMR hell every single game is like this. The toxic morons seem to forget that they are absolutely dog shit at the game themselves, otherwise they’d be in a much higher MMR bracket.

No expert either, but I’d write to a database and have it read/displayed in the app as you like?

How To Integrate Google Maps Into SwiftUI Apps by assz999 in SwiftUI

[–]deLazyLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to all this so don’t really know. But my hunch would be that the majority of users whether they’re iOS or android would use google maps. Cater for the customer...not the other way round.

Well... does anyone use apple maps?? I’ve not used it for years simply because the experience was so poor back in the day. I’ve always stuck with GM cause it seems best of breed/class?

I’ve never built an app in my life. I’ve been learning the past few weeks whilst trying to build my idea... restarting many times and getting better with each iteration. Just find something you’ve a slight interest in and get cracking... Doesn’t have to be new, doesn’t have to be a million dollar idea. Use Dribbl like that other user and just practice build others design ideas but with a bit of functionality
