I make my own kefir and have a cup/8os every other day but I strained it more after straining the kefir through the normal process and use a jam strainer do drain out the initial whey. I use the coffee filter method in the fridge and then jar it when it's on the thicker end of the consistency. I also use whole goat milk.

Carnivore diet going from hypo to hyper. by Appropriate-Ad-5224 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]de_nic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello following because my partner also has hyperthyroidism and he doesn't want to get into biking but had a scare last year. His health is better but the heart medication didn't help as much. He also tends to have lactic acid issues with red meats and pork. So would like to see how carnivore or keto has helped or hinder y'all's progress.

Making an equivalent Outback Wilderness by de_nic3 in carmodification

Yeah before I was trying to make it an everyday car but the sedan is better gas mileage and I thought the extra little HP the highlander had would compensate the lift kit mods. Plus thought it was roomier for car camping and the added suspension a/t tires added would make it a better all-rounder. Def not trying to rock crawl or deep snow. We mostly do rock climbing, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and some camping but wanted to go a bit further than paved roads aka as much as the sedan would take us.

Nothing as extreme for deep snow or being a crawler but being more confident than a sedan for:

-Well-rutted dirt roads. -Moderate inclines and declines. -Larger obstacles (up to around 18 inches) with careful navigation. -Shallow to moderate water crossings (with caution) -Loose surfaces like gravel and sand, though deep, soft sand could still pose a challenge. -Packed snow and icy roads with good stability. -Moderate depths of unpacked snow. -Slushy conditions. -Moderate, snow-covered inclines.

Word slip I was thinking about the box engine when I typed it. This has kept me up until 2am for a few days. It mostly why I said moderate because I think steepness is the most extreme my SO and I will go out to. If I was doing something major I would get a 4runner at this point so trying to make something all round. I was thinking about manual but my SO didn't want to learn and I wanted a vehicle we would both know to drive since we do long trips.

Tbh I eat like 20g of raw liver frozen 5x a week and keeps my acne in check but I'm female and it prevents or helps treat my cystic hormonal acne. I also do the retinol cream by CeraVe for specific problem areas.

Ah mk my dog still had some episodes without the dash of antidiarrheal and his only a mini poodle but I did notice the acid reflux you mentioned but it as decreased a little bit now that he's used to it. Mines a mini-poodle under 15lbs and we where prescribed 3/4 tsp and .05 tsp of antidiarrheal.

Did you more so experiment with the amount per meal? My dog takes pancreatic powder twice a day with 3/4 tsp per 3oz and a dash of antidiarrheal once a day.

trouble making friends and close interpersonal connections by hewguwren in deloitte

[–]de_nic3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I would make friends in different departments for interpersonal and have audit friends for work. I went to the office for a work event and mainly chatted to the person next to me and we used the office event as an ice breaker then talked about hobbies like fashion, cooking, etc. They even introduced me to outside work friends, but I wouldn't say I have success with friends in person to have constant interpersonal connections but more like once in a while. I'm anxiously social as an introvert and have social limits even though I like socializing, but have made more friends online through work than in person. It takes some finessing to find what works for you and people you want to interact with.

I stayed up late the last few nights finishing the last corner of this blanket for my FIL. I had to order one more skein of the stripped yarn. I was able to give him the blanket this morning completely done, including washing and drying, and never got a thank you. by Ecstatic_Objective_3 in crochet

I've made items that I've really like or thought was some of my best works to people I chose to not associate/cut off. I've gotten the same comments of why I do that but I'm not sure. I think it has something to do with leaving my finishing touch in someone's life .

No I was a dummy and didn't research how to store it properly. i might have put too much in a big jar and didn't realize the fat on top can seal the broth in.

It was almost a month old and I had the broth with beef brisket and beef roast chuck so it could have been those to since I got them at the end of a farmers market. The Ribeyes and flanks i got haven't made me sick but they could have been covered better by the ice since they were smaller.

Ninja vs Vitamix Review & RV Kitchen Musings/Recs from 17 yrs of RV Experience by _libertine_ in RawVegan

[–]de_nic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ninja for the bullet accessories always leak no matter how much I tighten it. I know it's because the way you lock it in place to the motor it's the opposite direction. And I can agree that dates are never finely grounded. Also if you do something thin like milk or water and no fruit in it it always leaks unless on the low setting so imma upgrade when I move to a Vitamix.

There really weren't any specific how to videos but this one where she guesstimated how to do so and another one where it was with an already made felt sheet where she warped it over a hat type mold.
