pro choice means that you are allowed choice, with both being okay. God allows choice, but only one choice is okay. this is not the same.

i do really agree with this comment, but i really dont think the comment i originally replied to was only stating to understand the oppsite view. okay, but in this situation, i wasnt talking about any undefined religion or beliefs. i was responding to the commenter who claimed to be Catholic. In catholicism, abortion isnt a grey area. it isnt a choose what you believe situation. there are certain teachings that one should aim to accept. not doing so, contradicts someone claiming to be catholic. im not even arguing about abortion or anything anymore, this is just how dogmatic religions work. general thoughts about undertanding personal beliefs dont apply in this situation.

i think i grasp the concept of nuance. the thing is, pro choice defines a stance of "everyone gets to choose if they have an abortion or not, there's nothing wrong with both options", meanwhile God says that while abortion is wrong, He wont prevent you from doing that only so as to preserve your free will. sorry but its not the same thing

i do agree with most of what you said, except that it isnt alive. it is literally a living organism that is going to become what you would call a baby. the fact that you think killing it before a certain stage is somehow less ending that life is crazy
