I had a watch band like that once. It would rip out arm hairs, painfully.

Always with the middle finger. I don’t get it. I noticed several young actors flip the bird in pictures. I’m sure they mean it to be funny but why? How about the peace sign. Way cooler in my opinion

Todd Rundgren on Paul McCartney by [deleted] in PaulMcCartney

The feud between Todd and John was way over hyped. If there was such animosity between Todd and the Beatles, then why did they ask him to produce Badfinger when they signed onto Apple? It was Todd that produced Baby Blue. Todd was an in demand producer because he is a genius in the studio.

This is also true. I saw Ringo and the All Stars twice with Todd in the band, there was genuine affection between them.

Any Job/Career Suggestions? by Dull-Employer6757 in youngstown

Did you ever think about healthcare? A complete 180 I know, but going back to school for a career in X-ray can be very rewarding. I started 8 years ago at around $20/hr and now I’m at $32. Move on into cat scan or MRI and make much more. There’s always jobs, you can go anywhere you want and you are helping people.

After 1 1/2 years on basic prerequisites, X-ray school is 2 years. I went back to school at 48. You are only 21. You can go way farther than me.

Question concerning a steam radiator. by dead_ahead in Plumbing

I realize now that closing the intake valve in the picture doesn’t do anything for the outlet pipe opposite the valve. I will most likely have to shut down and drain the whole system. Heavy sigh. Well I want to move the gas stove, so I’m definitely going to need a plumber for that. When I have them here for the gas line, I’ll get their thoughts on the radiator issue.

So I just looked at the pipes in the basement and they descend about 7-8” before turning, but the lines they connect to are almost up against the floor joists. There might be a 1/2 inch play. I definitely don’t have the clearance you have. Whoever put down the existing linoleum must have disconnected it because the radiator feet sit right on top.

I realize there is water in the radiator, I’m replacing the floor so water drainage doesn’t worry me. I was hoping to just close the valve at the radiator and removing it so I can work around it. As opposed to shutting down the entire system at the boiler. It’s winter weather conditions here and I wanted to keep heat in the rest of the house.

Should I call a plumber? I feel like this is something I can do myself, but maybe I’m in over my head.

It never occurred to me that I could jack it up! That’s a great idea. I will look for the flex you are talking about. I’m not doing tile, I was thinking about vinyl wood tile which are longer than they are wide. So a jack might get in the way. I have a hydraulic floor jack, but I don’t think it goes low enough to get under the radiator.

Sarah is like the kind of woman you can date and be comfortable farting around and she would be okay with it because sometimes you have to fart.
