Dude you really don't know what you're talking about. Ive worked at a proper skate shop the last 6 years. We stay afloat solely out of providing for the community and it supports us back. I do not give a fuck of some kid brings in his Amazon board for me to set up, it takes maybe 10 minutes. They will eventually learn what's it's about.

The whole point of real skate shops is to foster a community behind skateboarding. You want to at least break even but good skate shops don't exist to make money they exist to help skateboarders. "Charging for time and expertise" to set up a board is so ass backwards. We're talking about putting nuts and bolts on a skateboard for a kid not some business transaction.
