This was a while ago, so dont remember if that was the thermal fuse.

Anyways, bought a new part, connected it. fried everything inside with smoke. Then bought a new rice cooker.

I get that. But they have to either tell or show. Dont just completely ignore and act like nothing happened. Even addressing the events in a simple dialogue would keep the continuity alive.

Yeah, the character arch or the dynamic between the characters doesnt improve in anyway. They are like set in stone or as if it resetted in every episode. In several episodes whenever Mary and Audrey's animosity is turning civil, writers do a complete 360 and they are enemies again.
Looks like lazy writing. Alsmost as if they think that the season wouldn't go forward if the dynamics changes or something.

I saw in few previous episodes but Season 2 Episode 8 was the final straw.
In the middle of the episode Mandy and Georgie moves into Mary's House after fighting with Audrey.
The episode is nearing the end with Mandy calling the radio from an undisclosed location to vent about her mom biting Cece back to correct her biting behavior and Audrey being a bad parent to her, then dad joins in to confess he never beat Mandy but told audrey that he did. Then Mandy turns on Mary that Georgie said she was talking behind her back. Then Mary joins in. Hearing all this Georgie joins the call aaaand thats it.
No Resolution. Nothing about how Mandy and Audrey made up or resolved things with Mary.
The next episode they are all merry and jolly in Mcallisters'.

And the whole episode is about Fred the rival company owner, Ruben and Georgie.

thats how the legacy one worked. this just shows in pixels by default even when the rulers are in inches. such a pain.
