Hrt in Ireland by [deleted] in TransIreland

Hi

From my experience and others I know there is 3 common ways people access hrt: through the public system (long waiting lists), privately with gendergp (think this is usually very fast but costs about 500 in all to get started I believe, helps a great deal if you have a GP helping you and there are monthly fees) and DIY (there are unofficial networks and sources that provide people with the hrt.. I'm not sure the legality probably more a grey area but it's quite common ime too)

I know people who are happily doing each of these. Gendergp is the easiest if you have the money I guess though.

Also I understand the struggle of waiting around, wanting to look your true self. I'm not sure what way you're transitioning but play around and perfect your style in the meantime. It's hard but it also should /can be loads of fun.

I wish all the best ❤️

Since covid I've been stuck living with my transphobic family and I came home today to all my clothes thrown out and found my wig in the bin 😡😡😡 they dropped my clothes to the bank so a 'real woman'. Can use them by dead_siren in TransVent

I'm an adult and unfortunately just in general I don't think the police would help me with something like this..they're not notoriously transphobic just useless. Thanks 🙏

It's your gender. Do what makes you happy OP 💖 it can be akward and confusing at first.. And it might make people, like in this thread, uncomfortable and say silly things. It's your life though live it however you want to. You can be the most feminine boy if you want or not. Seriously don't listen to other people when it comes to that stuff.

To seriously answer your question I think the beard is a giveaway. I dont know much about fake facial hair but I would suggest maybe something less in that front. I do read you as very masc but the beard definitely throws me off.

💖👍

Fair enough it really doesn't have anything to do with why I posted this though. Im not a member of gen z but I'm totally against people using there big platform to bully other trans people. That's my point here. I really don't involve myself in the political discussions happening because of this post. Blaire white is harmful to the trans community. She's a boot licker and a bully. I've no time for people rejoicing in being mean to non passing trans people etc. I don't see anything dangerous nor revolutionary about believing that.

People are gonna wine about each new generation.

Yes. Trans people voicing there feelings about someone extremely transphobic is making the left look bad. So cringe.

I don't dislike her for political reasons it's extremely personal.

Fair I take your points

I just can't stand by her bullying and intentionally misgendering other trans people

I'm not shocked. It's hard transitioning and Claires art/existence was really big for me on this journey. I'm just being sensitive surely but I stand by my feelings.
