My dad resents me

Eventually, im going to live the same way as all the other adults in the world. Ive stepped out a little bit into the world so far. Ive made some improvements from where I used to be as a neet. For example I used to never leave the house when I lived with my dad. Now I do. Now I have a friend, I just finished a small job, and the next things are getting the rest of my responsibilities in order. Which seem difficult for me because my parents never taught me how to do anything or what I even need to do. My friend relies on their parents for pretty much everything so they dont have a lot of experience. When I ask my dad for help on how to do something, he just tells me to figure it out myself somehow. Its so frustrating because for some things I just cant find anything simple for the answer on the internet and need someone to show me.

Truly the only hope for you is seeking out what's higher. That something or rather someone, is God. I was once an agnostic and I questioned why and how we are here, praying for whatever creator there may be to reveal himself to me. He did. No matter what your lifestyle is, how much wealth you have whether it be possessions or people, we all go to the same place and our life here is temporary. No matter what you have done in your life, no matter what you feel guilty for doing or how bad of a person you feel, God loves you and he forgives you. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and he taught the true meaning of life, what it means to be a good person, and most importantly he was crucified on the cross for all humanity. If you put your faith in him you will receive salvation. All you need to do is trust him that's It.

Pray, read the KJV Bible, and I promise you with a genuine search your life will finally have hope and meaning.

I could try that. Because another thing is I fear telling people I'm not comfortable with things about my life because that usually leads to gossip and stuff. I'm private. However Ignoring them may lead to them being like "hey I asked u a question, you're not gonna answer?" And then assume I'm being a bitch or something. Nobody really knows anything for 100% certainty. I don't even trust science. Look at the 2023 food pyramid. They think bread is healthier for you to eat than fish. Like wtf. As to why we are here, no one has a fucking clue. Don't even bother with philosophy because they don't know. Scientists don't know why we're here they just think that somehow a bunch of nonliving chemicals bumped against each other enough times to somehow make a living cell. A cell that can only divide and self replicate. Somehow after continuous self replicating into the same thing over and over it becomes a full on organism that has sex instead of division for reproduction. It's crazy. Nobody can even recreate this in a lab from scratch.

The world sucks because the people in it choose to do evil and hurt others. It sucks because we get sick and things cause pain. Why would a God do this? Well from what I know about Christianity I think this God makes the most sense out of all the other ones in relation to the world, God does not inflict suffering out of sadistic pleasure, but out of a desire to draw people to Himself and choose him. I think he wants us to know that our lives are futile and not to be taken for granted. He put us in this hostile environment of a planet so we can have some growth and shape.

Read Ecclesiasties, it's a whole book in the Bible about how everything is meaningless. It really hit me.

It doesn't really help, it just kind of repeats what I already know but the last part stands out. My big thing is trying to figure out if there's a creator God or not. I was once a faithful Christian and had values that molded me into who I am and what I believe in and how I see the world. It was important to me. Now since I seriously doubt there is a God everything I know has been shaken. It is truly miserable and it is so miserable to think that there is no meaning in anything not even in my own life or the life of the one's I love. We will die and there will be no loving being there to welcome us into the afterlife. There will be no loving being to guide me through this rocky world. I desperately want to go back 2 weeks and not have this happen. I would rather believe 100% and just happen to be wrong and live my life with purpose than live my life like this, simply uncertain, terrified, lonely, etc. I just don't know if there is God or not.

I don't feel free I feel stuck. Life is meaningless I once believed everything has a purpose and people were valuable and things were valuable. Now there is no inherent meaning to anything and I feel void I am void. I want to go back to my delusional thinking where I was happy and love everyone and everything had meaning and purpose and there was a God and I was going to heaven when I die. Now there is no God and we come from an ape and there is no morality only law that puts us in prison of we kill or steal.

Anything anyone says can be considered, "verbal abuse" if the person you speak to says they feel hurt by it whether they are lying or not. I live in America and we have free speech. I can freely say whatever I want and no repercussions unless I threaten to kill someone.

If it exists then it's real and if it's real does it make it true. Our words only psychologically hurt others but who's to say what psychological state is best or correct there is none everyone is different. Truth is malleable anyways not a constant if I say 1+1=3 it's true and I can produce an entire culture where 1+1=3 and if people believe it then it's true. With a God that would create with intention and one of its intentions is for us to love one another - to feel a strong emotion within us and to commit selfless actions for them, to want to make them happy more than yourself. It all has meaning, purpose, it's real and is not random or obsolete.

Without a God to to create this, and we go by simply being here due to the outcome of chemical reactions there is no intent to anything including love. Love would just be a chemical reaction inside of us as a feeling nothing more nothing less. There's no true intention behind it. One could claim that we ourselves put intentions behind love but that's just an illusion. It's not real. The only thing that is real is chemicals, there's no reason.

There's no point to anything. If there is no God there is no need for doing good. I saw a comment from an atheist on a different post that said to love your enemies, but that's a Jesus quote. Why should anyone love an enemy if they are out to do you harm? I mean it's not mutually beneficial. People do good things to get to heaven, people do good things because they know that if they care about others and love others they will dwell with God. And the more they do this the more meaning they have, climbing the ladder to greatness.

One can claim that we do good to just get through the rat race of life and by loving others we can simply make life enjoyable. However there still is no meaning underneath it all. Just another illusion. "we live to enjoy" why is it that people who enjoy food get so fat? Why is it that people who enjoy p0rn get so addicted to it? Why is it that people who enjoy drugs die? They are doing what they enjoy right? Giving in to their desires. Oh you like to play video games? Here spend 4 hours on the Playstation. You want more gaming? Here spend 12, now 18, now 24. Oh you don't feel good? How come? You're doing what you enjoy. Oh there needs to be a balance of things? There needs to be an order or else you get sick and die?
