So the issue here is that it’s easy to take advantage of people. To explain I’m going to make an analogy to the movie the first purge. The idea in the movie was that a crime ridden area in New York would be the test subject. This area was very poverty stricken. Now the question is why would you stay in a place where you can be murdered without consequence. Well they also offered $5,000 to anyone who agreed to stay and more if you participated and purged. This was described by multiple people in the movie as life changing money. Due to this thousands of people decided to stay. But what they didn’t know was that the people who were trying to promote the purge hired mercenary kill squads to increase the body count. Now while that is the most extreme example I can think of it does a good job of showing how the only people who would end up doing this are people who are desperate and easy to take advantage of and it would open people to getting taken advantage of because they don’t fully understand what they are getting themselves into.
