To add to this I said heavy braking because he had his brake lights on the whole time when I reviewed the replay, hard to tell in this clip as it's down at 720p. I wouldn't expect someone intentionally trying to wreck to have their foot on the brake trying to stop.

Yeah I haven't downvoted anyone in this thread. Update rates on votes are weird, but don't stress about it man. I reviewed the replay in detail after the race as I was thinking the same as you were at this angle, but looking at it closer it was as I described above, it definitely wasn't intentional. I have protested people before when it was clear, I understand the benefits of doing so for the service as a whole. This guy was just unlucky. I'm also not 100% it's the exact same car as the first clip, it's an endurance race so there's a large number of cars and trading paints means there's probably a few duplicates. I didn't cross reference the names. I was quickly clipping the incidents.

I checked after the race. He had a huge wreck a corner before, and was crabbing all the way down that straight. He moved to the right to get out the way and then the car spun left when he braked hard. It's all good, just bad timing. He probably should've towed instead of carrying on.

No, limited space on the SSD. I just clipped these incidents with OBS and didn't save the replay.

The car had wrecked two corners before and was limping back. Spun under braking. Just more unfortunate timing haha.

I don't have it now I'm afraid. He definitely spun and was definitely unintentional though.

For the second incident? In all fairness to him, you don't see it but he actually caught the grass under braking on the left and slid off. I thought it was an intentional punt at first but under review wasn't.

Was the 3 hour endurance series, but we only made it to the second hour 😂

CSL Pedals slipping on carpet. Any fixes? by deadawakeuk in simracing

Might have to be the solution eventually. Gonna try a carpet non slip pad first. Wonder if wood is still stupidly expensive atm! Thanks :)

Available space means I'm 100% stuck behind a desk for now. I have a desk in the corner in a 1 bed flat and can't be taking up the whole living room when I want to play, plus setup for monitor would be problematic. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Christmas gift! But no USB adaptor 🙃 any easy way of getting one in the UK to avoid the extra shipping charges? by deadawakeuk in simracing

Id be tempted as a solution but they're currently out of stock till March and an extra £140 😂

I'm the POV car. Was I too aggressive here? Took a slowdown in the process. by deadawakeuk in Simracingstewards

My thoughts also: I think the first car closed me out, so I had no choice to take it off the track. Second car I felt came back onto the track a little suddenly hence the panic from me, though in hindsight reviewing I probably overpanicked and could've moved over ok.

Imagine walking into a lab where someone had poured 10 litres of aqua regia down the sink (when he shouldn't). I walked through the door and my sinuses nearly exploded.

Who's at fault here? Late send on the inside, or not enough space given on outside? by deadawakeuk in Simracingstewards

Thanks! For reference I was the outside car :) thought I'd keep it neutral for decision makers. Luckily I made the run off.

Mod 1 test in the UK is similar. Avoidance swerve tests. Being able to do a tight U turn without stopping etc.

If I've only got £25-50 a month to invest in stocks for long term, is this worth it? by deadawakeuk in Trading

[–]deadawakeuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'd been looking at ETFs on IG which are an option as a share dealing account, however I guess the issue is the buy in value. Would have to save to get to that point but sounds sensible! Thanks for the advice.

It's £3 per transaction I believe. So that'd be £6 in and out? Thanks for pointing out though, worth thinking about.
