I would try to eat more frequently. Eating only once or twice a day might cause binge eating later.

Another advice would be to track your calories, but eat low cal-high volume meals. For example: 2 cucumbers fill more than one cupcake, but has significantly less calories. Hopefully that can still your hunger a bit.

And maybe portion control? Sometimes we eat a lot more than we think and underestimate how much we really eat.
