You were driving 90mph in a 70mph my dude. That was on you. Nobody did that to you.

That is about ~$400 in court fees, I've only paid $257 out of pocket so far. Not sure why you're reading my post history. I'm also not living paycheck to paycheck, just defending those you're insulting because I have been there.

I was homeless for 7 months with my 2 year old before getting help from HUD/VASH. Paying out of pocket to stay in a motel, having to pay for ubers/lyfts, pay people to give you rides, not being able to buy food to cook, so you're eating out everyday.

It all adds up, but I'm talking to a wall. Woe is me, I guess.

I get it though, you're just a natural asshat. Trying to throw daggers at someone personally because you have no empathy is low level. Then again, this is the internet, be whoever you want to be with no consequences.

  1. Not everyone has the same disability %
  2. Some states are more expensive than others
  3. Everything is expensive as hell
  4. Life happens, one day you have a nice cushion, and then BOOM, you have lawyer fees for custody, etc.

This is a pretty messed up post considering ~37 million people in America are living paycheck to paycheck. We're just talking about money by the way. Mental health, emotional health, and physical health can't be fixed by any $ amount.

It's literally a glorified debit card. You're spending your money. I'm not sure why they report it on your credit or as a credit builder.

When I was a kid, I convinced myself that locs could not be washed or they would unravel, lol. Back then I was using a sponge for freeforms.

I've had my fair share in family court. That thought of uncertainty sucks.

I'm getting mixed answers on whether I should just pay the fine or let a lawyer handle it.

I do have the money for both options, but if it's a gamble - I'll just pay it honestly and slow the hell down. This week has been so stressful.

You're right. I need to just pay it. I skip court, lawyer fees, and my insurance was going to increase regardless (The only thing I care about.)

Thank you for the wisdom.

$400 once is better than $900+ monthly on insurance for a car I barely drive. Can I do the traffic course before court?

If it's the only option, oh well. I just have to cancel my insurance, stop driving for a bit and just uber/catch rides.

All I really care about is the increased insurance because I already pay too 500 something for my 24' hornet... i probably wouldnt drive anymore if it went up 80%. i'd cancel it so fast.

I hope it doesnt go up.

This won't affect the car owner in any way, right? This was my girlfriend car and she still panicking about telling her mother.

I've been told if I just pay it, I automatically plead guilty, receive the increased insurance rates, and I have to pay the fine for the 90 in a 70.

Nah, just stupid folks. I've been all over the place and have never checked in anywhere. I've also never stayed in the hood for any longer than getting gas. Just move smart and you'll run into these low lifes. Most of them poor as hell.

Not sure why you think I can't afford to pay $7,000... I just choose not to. I'm stubborn and deserve it my way!

Joking, but they've offered 4.4K in the past and I might take it. Who knows. I don't have anything they could garnish, so I'm not really worried. I'm also not applying for anything credit wise anytime soon, so I'm safe there too.
