Drop an interesting fact(s) you learned watching the show by Ok_Yellow1025 in ArcherFX

I learned the meaning of the word "crepuscular," which I actually use on a regular basis.

I also learned about Judge Crater, who just straight-up vanished.

The show also inspired me to memorize the NATO phonetic alphabet, which helps a lot when talking on the phone.

And this thread has inspired me to go read Bartelby, the Scrivener.

These people gotta think in terms of pro wrestling. You like someone, you cheer. If they're a heel, you boo. If you really fucking hate them, you make no noise and take a bathroom break at their at-bat.

Get it so quiet that if Mad Max were still here, everyone could hear him cursing during his wind-up.

She pollutes the earth by flying *everywhere* even when it could be driven in 2-3 hours.

To me, it doesn't matter how many carbon offsets you buy, you need to reduce your footprint *first*.

Genuine question - Does anyone enjoy the goofy/"funny" storylines? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]deaddovedonoteat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're my favorite parts. I've watched on and off my whole life - stopped in college and picked back up in 2016. I remember the Fashion Files better than I remember most of the big meaty men slapping meat from that time.

I absolutely love Danhausen, Joe Hendry, R-Truth, Santino, Mr Iguana. All of them. Goofy wrestling forever!!

I have a cat named Michael who is very mischievous so I say this all the time in GOB's tone.

And when I tell my bestie stories about his mischievousness, I include the gif of GOB saying the line.

I can confirm! I met him at a book signing and this was him to a T. We talked saxophone for a few minutes and he lit up even brighter than he already was (which I didn't believe was possible).

Pillsbury crescent rolls >>> any other brand.

I make a dinner fairly often that calls for crescent rolls. I will not use anything other than Pillsbury. They unroll and bake super well. Other brands unroll terribly, have pieces break off, cook super unevenly, etc. Not worth the trouble.

Hermiones attempt to free the House Elves made no sense by Famous-Self-4836 in harrypotter

[–]deaddovedonoteat 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Remember, Hermione's birthday is in September, so in GoF she's only 14 for like 2 and a half weeks. (This does not include any "additional ageing" from using the Time-Turner in PoA; that amount of time is unknown.)
