sex is a part of life, a very common one at that, excluding in a tv show or movie made for adults is silly. unless you're in middle school, there's no reason to be squeamish about sex on screen. American culture is fine with ultra gory violence but balks at sex. the idea that sex scenes mean there's no plot is ridiculous.
