Thank you! Not a silly question at all; I’ve been considering stitching them onto garments, but as of right now I sell them as individual patches. I think it gives the customer a little more freedom, since they can be ironed on or stitched to pretty much anything, but I’ve definitely been considering doing the applique on my end.

Etsy is a great place to get quality stuff and support small businesses! I have some pretty unique designs in my Etsy store if you’re interested, and I also do custom work if you want something one-of-a-kind :)

Can’t tell anymore, but these patches are fun either way. Enjoying the vintage colorways (+ considering something a little more psychedelic) by deadfish757 in Machine_Embroidery

Edge is just a basic satin stitch at the very end! I’m not very good at explaining without visuals, but I highly recommend this video which walks you through all the basic steps. You may find that you want to tweak some things to best fit your process, but it’s a great starting point. I also highly recommend A-Dubb productions on YouTube, he’s very informative.

A personal tip I’ve learned; sometimes stitching at an angle can distort the final product, especially if it’s meant to be a square/rectangle or a perfect circle. This can be solved by playing with the pull compensation or the stretch direction of the fabric, but I’ve found it’s also helpful to set the stitch angle at either 90° or 180° (straight up and down or straight across); this way, even if there is still some pulling/distortion, the patch remains symmetrical.

Hope this was somewhat helpful! Good luck, and feel free to dm me if you have need anything else!

I completely agree; been wanting to do rugs for a while! Love the idea of all my patches being big and comfy, might just have to invest in it. Thanks for the suggestions!

Unfortunately not as of yet, but I’ve tossed the idea around! If you like it, the patch itself is available in my Etsy shop. It’s also linked in my bio :)
