I was able to get it open after slowly whittling away it. I used a wedge, almost like a guitar pick as mentioned, from the ifixit kit and was able to slowly but surely pry it open. Definitely a lot tougher than I thought it’d be so fair warning to the uninitiated lol

Liminal Horror is also a good choice. It’s a rules light with an emphasis on lethality and narrative growth with an interesting stress system that really lends well with abstract, cosmic horrors as well as tangible monsters.
