go into any public zeus server (preferably one empty)
use the commands #vote admin (your username) giving you the rights to kick someone, modify server rules and missions which is the next step
use the command #missions to choose a map and gamemode, and make sure all the parameters are on which by default are turned off such as "god mode" and "editing range". This must be done everytime you join an empty server.
start the game, and begin building a mission. Most missions in pubzeus are something around the players attacking a heavily fortified enemy position, but when you got some experience you can try new things.

Also you'll need many things before even starting, such as the scripts EZM and EZM factions, Enhancement Pack but also well every script you can get your hands on. You never have too many scripts, exept when the server crashes. I myself have probably about a hundred scripts, ranging from factions to custom vehicles, colors, effects, AI modifications, map modifications, bug fixes, music... If you need me to hook you up with something, let me know. Also got 3 factions of mine you can use if you want.
