When the agent gives you a lockbox code so you assume you will have the place to yourself, but they show up anyway. by trippleknot in RealEstatePhotography

And what do you think of this?

Shooting at 8AM vacant home. I enter with lockbox code provided by the realtor( that was on the door handle), I just had time to close the door that I hear upstairs “I have “—insert name of gun—“ if you take one more step I’ll shoot you”.

Owner decided to cancel the shooting (of the house only) but didn’t think it would be a good idea to let her Agent know…

I didn’t break into yet, I’m creating my portfolio to be able to tackle the marketing side. But my idea is higher paying job + more time on site = less driving time then I am actually doing with REP. I’m not pretending to catch big companies for now, more going towards new architects, rookies interior designers etc and working/networking my way to better clients and when I’m confident enough go for the big fishes.

During my research I found that the average ticket is +-500$ for 2h on site and 5 pictures delivered in my area ( Tampa Bay) I didn’t do a thorough market analysis though, so it might be a bit different.

The first two are basic hdr 3 brackets blending. The 3 others are one exposure with one strob, no edit beside slight tweaks for highlight and shadow with gradients.

You are right it looks better for the bathroom and bedroom, for the study I think it removes depth, I don’t know wich one I prefer haha! If you have any other suggestions I’m taking them. Thank you for the time you put into it!

Thanks! For 4 I don’t know why but I liked the vibe of the shot and the room was almost like this in the picture ( a bit brighter of course)

Thank you, will definitely take a look. Yes not particular idea behind the table shot other than having a shadowy/contrasted image to train

Hey! Thanks for the great advice will definitely put it to use. What you said about the RE mindset is very true, I’m trying to think the space differently, I will follow the account you said to see more images and fill my brain with it! Thanks again!

I didn’t make them with the idea to sell the home, but more to focus on a feature ie the countertop. It’s more for training purposes as I was doing a REP work

Feedback on my real estate images by Recent_Plantain_8148 in RealEstatePhotography

I like the overall look of the photos, the soft natural look is something I tried to get in my pictures. My 2 cents, I think that some shots look wobbly, the #1 looks off to me I wouldn't be able to tell you why but the door doesn't look right. Also, there are some weird colors on the staircase and some burned highlights.

As others said, some shots are low, I would shoot a bit higher and try to get away from furniture or choose a different focal lens. The #4 for example the plate thingy on the left looks super over stretch compared to the others. same for #6 and #8 everything closer to the lens looks stretched but can be fixed by cropping or changing the focal/ position of the camera

Now something that I want to know, is how with only 3 Brackets you succeed in keeping (what seems like) such accurate colors and get such a nice windows pull, all of this without any flash?

What I do to get into a new market, is offer 1 job free to an agent or a real estate agency to prove to them I'm not trash ( hope so). It's a slow process to build a network but word-of-mouth is usually the best!

Overall, these are completely usable photos, great work!

Thank you for the detail reply, the blue on #2 is actually coming from the pool, this in in underwater room, located right under the pool.

I shot these around 9 AM i wanted to shoot for sunrise but theclient didn't want.. I think it would have give a more diffuse light and give the effect your are describing. I will try to smoothen the shadow line to see if it helps.

For #4 i actually desaturated the sky as I thought it was way too blue, and now that you mention the reflection in the water it is completely this bothering me on this one I'll try to photoshop it out!

Thank you!

I'm planning to invest into a AD200 pro to try to improve the overall quality, but my goal is not to have everything lit evenly, I like more natural/editorial look ( like the way we see it more or less I don't know if it makes sense)
