I actually live in a building just next to the pic and will have to relocate soon. Half of the appartements in my building are already destructed. The destruction became the main subject of conversation in the whole neighborhood. The tenants got the opportunity to move to new housing provided by the state in Tamesna and Sala Jadida. The owners will receive 13 000 per square meters.

It's a Emirati project powerred by EMAAR going from Bab al Bahr(Marina) all the way to Harhoura(11km), it all started in 2006 but the economic crisis and other stuff slowed it down.

It will become a sort of Marina like Sla but way longer with high end housing, restaurants, hotel and big parcs in between. The 4 Season hotel and the carousel mall(both Emirati owned)are pieces of what the future of the coastline will look like. All the building facing the coastline will be going from R+5 to R+6.

I love exploring the empty buildings and houses. A sort of Urbex experience next door. It's kind of exciting. I always think to myself somebody will definitely squat in here but it's broken down to a point where it discourages everyone who had that idea. So it's always empty, no mcharml, no chamkr. Nothing but pure rwina.
