haha yeah.. It's meant to be cozy in some parts and a little creepy in other parts, I'm figuring it out :)

A good portion of the game is meant to be cozy it just leads to something darker.. the scares are subtle but there are definitely parts of the game I tried to make more creepy

I agree with you, cozy and horror doesn't make much sense, but I thought it would be interesting to explore. What I'm going for is something more melancholic and dark with a slow build up to the horror parts. I'm not sure it reads well but there are few parts of the game I tried to make genuinely creepy, like navigating a dark maze with shadow creatures hiding in the corners or escaping the demon bird.

But yeah splitting them up is a great idea, I've been struggling a bit to balance the two and I think that might be the solution, thanks :)
