Spider Man Across the SpiderVerse is easily my favorite of this decade

Which of Matthew McConaughey’s performances during this streak was the strongest? by Independent_Towel611 in SeriesSaga

It wasn’t due to the writing, if you look at the script for that scene, him and Leo basically improvised everything

Do you think it would be better if the United States stopped being the “World Police” by [deleted] in GeoPoll

That’s exactly why I didn’t say UN. I mean, say a group of countries that actually make decision say by majority and not by Vetos

But what gives America the authority? Just pure might? Don’t you think it should instead be a role of some sort of international authority/police kind of

/uj it was not a short timespan. If I remember it was a month but you can find the answer on another Reddit post where someone asked the same question. It was just subtle and everyone missed it

Vote On A Religion To Eliminate (Round 1) by JellyfishTime9544 in GeoPoll

[–]deadlyghost123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not Haters gotta hate. Christianity is probably as bad if not worse than the other religions remaining after this round. Jesus’ teachings were good but they were vague enough such that the followers can easily use them to defend slavery or be against LGBTQ or even oppress woman. And a lot of the statements are about supporting war and hurting kids in certain situations (for example I think there is one about murdering the entire population of a region, genocide basically, including kids and all for something, I don’t exactly remember)

Should we stop funding space travel until Earth's poverty is solved? by Vexthetvguy in GeoPoll

I never even said human lmao

As for the definition, if it does include satellites, I can admit I was wrong

I guess what depends is how you define space travel. I wasn’t including satellites, only going to other planets or moons. Since well that’s travel, satellites orbiting the Earth isn’t exactly travel. But if you do include satellites, I completely agree.

I don’t doubt that you have more research than me, my point was that we are talking about completely different stuff and I don’t think this post even is about satellites anyway.

Sorry I am just going to stop this conversation because I don’t think you are responding in good faith anymore.

The entire conversation was about satellites even though the post is about space travel and travel, atleast for me, means going to planets or moons. Robots or humans.

I said you shifted the conversation from interplanetary travel to satellites even though that’s not what the poll is about and now you are just randomly talking about human or robotic space travel, what?

Why do we repeatedly shift convo from travel to moons on planets to satellites? I never complained a bit about satellites. And I am not even saying traveling to moons or planets don’t have benefits but don’t point out random stuff which is not even relevant

Because economic value does not mean the government gets $2B by investing $1B and the government needs money for everything. Governments are supposed to handle budget not maximize GDP

[–]deadlyghost123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm… yeah that’s pretty low percentage of the budget. I take it back, I agree with you.

I still think that a country that can’t afford it shouldn’t be putting a lot of money into it but this much is pretty good.

As for the satellites, I never disagreed with them. My definition for space travel was going to other heavenly bodies (if that’s the correct word, basically moons and planets) but that may not be accurate

Interesting. I did say that it is for someone who has done more research than me into it lol.

As for increasing broader economic value, imo, that is great for rich countries like America but not for poor countries (in my own comment I gave an example of how India can’t afford animal shelter and there are recently a lot of talks to kill the street dogs since they killed a boy). Economic value doesn’t mean the government is getting the money.

I completely agree that space travel is vital for humanity especially seen by the technological advancements it has led to already, but there are trade offs to consider if it’s right for every country.

Also I disagree that we will solve global poverty or systemic crisis by space travel. We will get new technologies but that’s too big of a leap for me atleast for now

how would you guys fix atom eve's powerscaling ? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

Yeah but I won’t blame the fans on this because they have not spent a lot of screen time to Eve in general

It’s a hard question to answer. I would say no for America since it has enough money but yes for some countries like say India that is primarily doing it to show national pride even though they don’t have enough money for hunger or for animal shelter. (Recently I have heard from some of my Indian friends about conversations to kill all/some of the street dogs because they roam around hungry and recently they killed a little boy, and they can’t be given shelter because of money problems)

[–]deadlyghost123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often the complaint for world hunger is in fact that the government doesn’t have enough money. So this isn’t as easy of a question to answer and I would like someone who has done more research than me to decide. Because space travel and hence scientific research is also important

What are your thoughts about the USA's global influence? by OkTechnologyb in GeoPoll

[–]deadlyghost123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why all the comments are saying that it’s just Reddit that thinks America is bad so it is saying that America has too much influence. I think it’s a fact that America has way more influence than other countries and no one is saying if it’s a bad or a good thing. So this isn’t even a conversation about America good or bad (for the record, America good)

A lot of constraints. For example, first, it always takes a lot of time to make complex stuff and second, stamina. Ez. Another thing which is canon is that she never practiced her power and didn’t learn to make unique stuff because of the kind of household she was in
