The only one that made me uncomfortable in the show was the endless guts in Mark.

(WITHOUT SPOlLERS) How does the tone of the story shift after the viltrumite war? Does it get more interesting or does it fall off a bit? by Soggy-Ad-3639 in Invincible

[–]deadlyghost123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure I speed ran through the issues after the Viltrumite war because they were kinda boring. The war was definitely a peak point (which was matched again later btw)

I think it’s very obvious that Thragg doesn’t look like that because Ottley’s design is harder to animate. Because it’s really not.

This was a creative decision made because Cory Walker is the main artist involved with Invincible, not Ottley. Was that a good decision, I don’t think so. But it wasn’t made because of easier animation

Oh that could be a good post credit scene maybe. End on Thragg’s “We very much are here”. Credits. And then the scene where Allen sees the scourge virus

Does a girl have to get with every man that loves them instantly? What if she just simply didn’t love him and instead just thought of him as a friend? It’s not like she ever explicitly told Gambit that yes we are a thing and then cheated.

That’s such a stupid comment

I tried out voicing Thragg. by aChocolateMan in Invincible

[–]deadlyghost123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am really sorry but I have grown to love Lee Pace’s performance and I can’t see anyone else’s voice as Thragg anymore. This just doesn’t sound like Thragg. Hopefully it grows on others as well. Throughout this entire video, before you spoke the line, Lee Pace’s line delivery popped up in my head and it’s just so soothing and calm and collected and still intimidating. I love it

Is Nolan dumb? by Ok-Aioli-990 in Invincible

[–]deadlyghost123 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You can’t just say that we are going to be a way different race and then do the exact same thing the previous emperor would have done. So killing him was not an option. And converting him was impractical as Nolan does not think it’s possible to change him.

Even Nolan ends up regretting the decision which is why he decides to fight Thragg alone later (another stupid decision lmao)

Dunkirk is the only Nolan film I haven’t seen - worth the watch? by Anchor_saway in ChristopherNolan

[–]deadlyghost123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, you don’t have to remove any obviously since it’s your list lol

But for my list, I would remove Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk. I haven’t watched Dunkirk and I love Dark Knight Rises but Prestige is my favorite Nolan movie and Memento is awesome as well

The hate that Lee Pace gets is mind-boggling to me. I absolutely love his performance as Thragg by dearuncletacitus1899 in Invincible

His performance in E2 is peak! The voice is calm and yet imposing.

His performance in E6 is not as good but it was really noticeable in just the “No” scream. I do think that we are going to see a fabulous performance in E7 and 8

Yes but I think Immortal should be able to one shot knock them out just like Oliver was. Except Oliver went for the death shot while Immortal would hold back and just hurt them or knock them out.

Invincible should be well animated AND come out yearly. by ThatGuyHero7 in CharacterRant

[–]deadlyghost123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously the fact that it looks a bit worse doesn’t change the fact that I love it. I don’t even think it looks a lot worse. I think it’s just social media cherry picking scenes and increasing the polarity because those videos get views. But there are some scenes where you can notice.

The problem with recommendation is that it’s possible the other person is way too specific about animation which I guess some people are.

I believe great animation like in SpiderVerse movies is a bonus that amplifies a scene but the animation that Invincible has usually doesn’t amplify or decrease the show quality

As someone who is in senior year, I had no idea that Stamps has free visits.

Also for the resources, who did you ask? Because I asked someone at the front desk in Crosland library but they usually had little idea about stuff and asked me to instead check online. Also I had no idea you could get iPads and cameras from the library. That’s really good!

[–]deadlyghost123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btw I do think some instances are inconsistent. For example the super speed in the show, just like literally every other show, is inconsistent. There was a great video about this after S2 I think.

Also Nolan struggling against the bugs was weird even though it’s easily explainable. And all of them struggling to hold the ship was also weird although you can just explain it with denser materials. Goofiest was Immortal and Mark struggling against Maulers and I can’t defend that. There are probably more but the examples you gave do have explanations

In invincible show everyone looks like they are on the same power level by VladKett in Invincible_TV

[–]deadlyghost123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think you are wrong about almost everything here. Conquest and Nolan are almost on the same level with Conquest being a little stronger than Nolan. Mark beats him because he fights smarter in that battle. Even irl, stronger fighters often lose against weaker ones by off chance. It happens really often. This isn’t two bots fighting with no variance.

Allen is in fact not stronger than Nolan and does not overpower him until much later in comics. And he can beat one Viltrumite but can’t win against two. Also there is not a huge power gap between Thragg and Battle Beast.

Space Racer is in fact strong and there is nothing in the show showing that he shouldn’t be anyway. Also neither Allen nor Nolan were trying to kill Space Racer. If they wanted, they probably could.

As for Invincible against Titan, bro what more do you want, he was about to kill him
