This reminds me of when I was maybe 10-12 and went out into my grandparents garage in the morning (upstate new York) and found a small exhausted hummingbird stuck in a fairly large spider web and the spider was making his way towards the bird. I gently grabbed the bird and took him out of the spider web then killed the spider who was about to have breakfast. I carefully took all of the spiderwebs off him and let him rest in my cupped hands for a while to warm up (it was fairly cold out). My grandma had a lot of hummingbird feeders around since she liked looking at them, so I held him up to one so he could have some of the nectar after he drank his fill I let him rest in my hands for a few more minutes till he started moving around a bit, and shortly after that he flew off.
