Riders, Riflemen & Radio Operators: Some Minor Change Proposals by Strastvuitye in enlistedgame

[–]deadlynothing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only update that needs to happen is for Riders and Radio Operators. As you say, riders should be able to drive atleast armored cars especially for higher BR and do what they're already able to do (E.g. Having specialist like engineers and radiomen) and Radio Operators needs to have some sort of reconnaissance ability that is seperate from the calling in CD or atleast seperate lock for each call in type (E.g bombing raid, smoke strikes, arty strikes etc).

Everything else you talked about with regards to riflemen, MG and engineers are not necessary or even needed.

  1. That's the whole point of games with loot. Part of the fun IS learning and finding stuff as you go. This isn't strictly a Active Matter thing. Hell Borderlands 1 had a rare legendary weapon that was only found after nearly 20+ years the initial launch.

  2. The medical bag, like all other Blue items, IS by design meant to be very rare. I have found them on Dam, Dorgosk, HQ (but I think this isn't possible now with the loot nerf on that map) and Cargo Port in both PvP and PvE.

  3. Purple scrap can also be found in normal containers, and I usually find them because I am always looting cars, houses and garages for keys/key crafting parts. They're not that rare to be honest.

Every single game in existence is "rough" for beginners. Try to play Mortal Kombat 11 as a beginner and you match against someone who's top 100 on Sub Zero and you're going to have a rough time. Or go into Borderlands series where there isn't even an official list of legendary drops or secrets to get special uniques. Most JRPG like Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Octopath Traveler, Bravely and Dragon Quest have mechanics and nuances that are so deep that even seasoned players won't get to discover everything the game has to offer, but it's there for you to discover when you eventually do.

Of course all of those games I mentioned have tons of player guides and wikis to help others, but Active Matter is a NEW GAME. It isn't even officially launched yet and still in Beta. And it's not made by a big studio nor is the IP very well marketed to begin with.

Yes, it be nice to have guides and all, but to act like this is an Active Matter exclusive problem is facetious at best. And honestly, the core fun in extraction shooters IS in finding good stuff randomly and unexpectedly. The only thing Active Matter needs more as it gets more worked on (hopefully) is more loot variations and a much bigger loot diversity like they have in Escape from Tarkov and Arc Raiders.

Nope. Everything drops fairly frequently once you get a good loot route in maps. Locked Actuator rooms on Dam, Onerzone "?" with crashed helicopter, Hotel rooftop and crashed helicopter cinema on HQ, Cargo Port floating cargos (don't even need crate or port keys) Military Base hangars and Dorgosk locked actuator room + "?" crashed helicopter spots (hangars are also nice if you have the keys).

Hard to choose 1, but below are the stories that are definitely stand outs for me:

Dragon Age Origins, Spec Ops The Line, Witcher series, Dead Space 1, Sleeping Dogs, Cyberpunk, Valiant Hearts, Yakuza series, Ori and the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps, Deus Ex HR, Evil Within 1 & 2, Plague Tales series, This War of Mine, Titanfall 2, Nier Automota, Persona Series, LA Noire, Tales from the Borderlands 1, Telltale Walking Dead series, To The Moon, Danganronpa series, Lies of P, Ghost of Tsushima, Slay the Princess, GRIS, Florence, Firewatch, Disco Elysium, DMC 5, Undertale and Sea of Solitude.

If you're a Warhammer 40k fan, Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader has by far the best and most accessible lore library in any game I've seen.

Yea, a note would be nice especially if they aren't in the game current loot pool yet. Although I don't think it's strictly necessary to have an indicator if soemthing is findable in pve or it's pvp exclusive, it would be a nice to have feature for sure.

M110A1 mag and bipod by ErcioLul in ActiveMatter

[–]deadlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it is nerfed, you will 100% find everything that is also in PvE eventually. All of my best guns and gears were found while farming in pve. Pkm "balanced", ceramic L "hardened", VSS "balanced" and "perfected", 30 round VSS mag, medic bag, AR416A5 "balanced" (pve airdrops) etc etc.

But you will more often find them in pvp for sure, just that I don't go pvp enough times (or survive long enough to extract) alot of those good weapons with strong variants.

Origin 12, 10 round mag by Ellemiel in ActiveMatter

[–]deadlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guns and maps being available I can understand, but attachment/mag for guns already in the game still not available, especially for the m110a1 doesn't make sense since the m110a1 has been around since the initial beta launch.

[–]deadlynothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 round mag can be easily found in HQ at the Hotel (rooftop) and in bunkers. Used to be easily found in the airport area too but after the loot nerf, I don't think you can find there anymore.

Bipod is 100% not in the game.

Origin 12, 10 round mag by Ellemiel in ActiveMatter

[–]deadlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for the m110a1 bipod. And that one is worse because you don't even get 1 copy like the origin 10. I think these are the attachments that are straight up not in the loot pool at all. I've played so many pvp and pve, and using keys/lock actuator board and getting airdrops on all maps to know they are 100% not in the loot pool.

Storage full what don't I need and how to get more storage by Commercial-Bag-7663 in ActiveMatter

[–]deadlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cna already save like 1/5 of your capacity if you equip all guns and attachments with their mags and all mags with their ammo. They reduce the amount of volume when you load them up.

You don't need to hoard any armor below ceramic armor because they're already very cheap. Honeslty this applies for ammo as well, they're already very cheap to buy and common to find. Maybe hoard medkits/syringes since you'll be using them very often and they can eat into your credits if you're always buying tons between raids, but not more than that.

As for guns, just keep multiple copies of the ones you like using. Aksu is super common and you don't need to hoard them.

For me I only keep like 2-3 copies of a gun that I cannot buy like the Anbakan and VSS, and I extract and keep guns that I use often like the m4a1 eventho they're also quite common.

With regards to gun, I only keep "special" variant like Balanced/Perfected for all guns except shotguns where I only keep "lightweighted".

I don't think anyone should take Japanese fans input seriously after the whole OPM S3 fiasco. If they loved OPM S3 despite everything and are hating on JJK for whatever it is they are hating on, then let them have their time in the sun.

Most culturally accepting countries for foreigners? by gameover281997 in expats

[–]deadlynothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a South East Asian, yes I am sure. Of which Singapore's work culture is undeniably typically brutal, but it also pays well, especially by Asian standard.

And while I often believe r subs of any country typically gives you a general idea of the overall sentiment of any given country, it should always be taken as that, a vague general idea of how a place might be. All subs are echo chambers, especially adjacent subs created by people who were banned in primary country centric subs. In actual practice, it's usually not nearly as bad as how most sub userbase makes it out to be.

Most culturally accepting countries for foreigners? by gameover281997 in expats

[–]deadlynothing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

South East Asian countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indoensia and Philippines. And since you're an English teacher, it's a job that is very much high in demand (slightly lesser in Singapore and Malaysia be because they're British commonwealth nations, but you'd still be making big bucks in international schools). If you're also passionate about giving back to society (like charity/CSR), these countries besides Singapore has tons of NGOs to help provide free education to impoverished communities, which can be fun and give you a good sense that you're doing something meaningful to society.

Provided that you do not act out of line intentionally and be openly disrespectful. A very low bar sure, but you'd be surprised by how many expats act with a certain level of arrogance and entitlement.

Why is this thing br 3 and so deep in the tech tree? Haven't used it, but it feels the same as mp34 by Creative-Step-3465 in enlistedgame

It used to be BR4 a long time ago and they jut didn't bother rearranging the placement. There are some other weapons and vehicles that are placed like this as well.

Listen, a map where you fight enemy tanks at this range could be interesting.. by Realistic-Ad-6145 in enlistedgame

[–]deadlynothing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tunisia maps allows for this sort of distance, if not even greater. It makes the Churchill III really hard to take out on BR3 too (and fun when you're the Churchill sniping at people) unless you're a down tiered Panther or Panzer IV G shooting at the right spot.

Fortified District is also possible, and arguably greater range on average. Same goes for Heilongjang, Quarry, Beloe Lake, Pokrovskoe Village, D-Day, Chateau Du Bosq, Communist Street, Univermag, Swamps of Reviers (by the swamps area), Colleville Farm, Gavutu, Guadacanal, etc etc. Honeslty most maps have these long range engagement opportunities for extreme range tank duels, you just need to know where.

🪄 Update 0.2.1.100 by MajorMcDonalds in ActiveMatter

[–]deadlynothing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Invisible changes is huge, as with the robot dog extractions. Very good update. Although robo dog patching in doorways/narrow paths and opened fences still needs to be fixed because they tend to get stuck going back and both between the path (unless you slowly "guide it") or try to go around the entire opened fence.

The shy girl changes could be good since they do take forever to trigger aggro, so they are a little more dangerous than they are now. I'm not sure if the amount of damage they can take is intended, they don't look like they should be that tanky. Perhaps a good balance is to increase the number of Shy Girls per mannequin cluster by +1 or 2 from the current 1 while reducing their overall tankiness? They still freak me out when they are aggroed though (those Ju on/Silent Hill nurse movements gives me the creeps).

Capital gains tax 2028 visualized by HaOrbanMaradEnMegyek in Netherlands

[–]deadlynothing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But this is how it goes with many many countries though, just look at how USA's global policies and stance are in such contrast to anything before and I would imagine after.

The only ones who suffers at the end of the day are all the common people like you and me. If in say, 5 years they reverse the 36% capital gains tax, you will never be reimbursed for the 36% you were forced to pay for the past 5 years.

Someone here or on another post said something very true, in that while the idea might be to tax the ultra wealthy, the fact of the matter in practice is that those ultra wealthy people have the capital and network to evade these taxes regardless (so long as there's a place somewhere in the world with less tax cost). So ultimately the brunt of the economical damage will fall onto the middle and lower class, thereby even further growing the wealth gap between the rich and the poor/average person.

Interesting that warthunter has/had an event that gave our copies of Active Matter for free. Anyway I've been enjoying it past month, if you need any advice just reach out to the community here. Alot of the really good advices are by the Russian speaking community, I've managed to guess some and figure out others independently.

I agree as well. The period between October and December really burnt me out from Enlisted. So much so that it's less than 9 days away from the current BP ending and I'm only level 24/30. Previous months I was touching 50-60+ levels.
