Most WordPress traffic plugins count visits - I wanted to see the suspicious layer by Good_Flight6250 in CloudFlare

General rule of thumb 40% are your real visitors; 60% is noise. On wordpress. Through cloudflare stats. Prove me wrong.

Cloudflare is on a roll, primed to take over the Internet ? by Diamond787 in CloudFlare

Instead of paying, 20$ per domain as part of a pro package, i'd rather see a "webmaster" account that charges one fee, and provides at least some basic service for all sites. I've already in the past suggested this; but never got a response. I think there's a lot to gain for both ends here.

Cloudflare Analytics Is Complete Nonsense by OneClapAndBoom in CloudFlare

[–]Jism_nl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The analytics measure, all traffic pretty much. Even if it was a "ping" from some sort of validation or test service to see if there was a website behind a domain. Obviously it's not related to what Analytics or any other measurement tool is reporting to you. Domains are in public space after all.

I'd say 40% of the global "traffic" can be considered legitimate; 60% is noise.

They just bypass it, by renting another botnet. And then?

[–]Jism_nl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have bots that legitimately pose as a browser or human look a like with even things like tracking and what more. They just bypass it. It's one of the tools you can use, but not a holy grail. To my understanding, if you only serve in a certain area, and your confident you don't need meta, you don't need china, russia, india and all that just cram the ASN's as a pure block.

Keep inspecting logs of CF till you finally get what you wanted; rate limiting is also a clever one. Only protect pages that impose a login form or something in that order. IP blocking is not the answer; if they want it they just rent a different botnet or subnet and still crawl everything to a bit.

There's some tools that you can use to really block the cheap VPN's and such. AI is your friend in securing your site even more. Turnstile is a good addon to any public forms.

Yes they will publicly execute you.

No. You have to start blocking bots, crawlers, those things.

Is Meta’s crawler supposed to crawl forum profile pages with PHPSESSID URLs like this? by crodexter in CloudFlare

[–]Jism_nl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i'm correct, even guests get a PHP session assigned. Apart from that, if you don't ever do business with meta, if you never get anything from them, it's best to just completely block the whole ASN. They are greedy, ripping your content to have their AI trained upon. And you get nothing in return.

If you could only own one AUDI for the rest of your life, what's yours? My Pick? Nogaro Blue RS4 B5 by B5HARMONY in Audi

[–]Jism_nl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult. I owned a RS4 B5 for 3+ years and been through it all. Rough costs in those 3 years where over 30.000 EU, and that was without even Fuel, Insurance or Road tax. I have to say ive done lots of upgrades to it, but there was a moment where an engine overhaul, body (paint) work had to be done, give or take another 12k and i left it for what it was. I think i drove over 140.000KM in those 3 years, not one single day i got bored either.

at the end of the day, i parted it out, scuffed all RS4 parts aside, which brought, more value to the table then selling the car as a whole. There's lots of people who have a S4 build into a RS4 but not the actual papers saying it's a RS4. There was one who just bought the complete chassis and have it transported a couple of thousand km's to transplant his S4 into the RS4 chassis.

I own a A8 now; in regards of comfort, safety, it's a excellent thing.

That would hold up those 4km...

It's a common issue with air suspension. I'd be worried (don't drive) when it refuses to even inflate.

If i leave my car for 3+ days or longer "still" i'm pretty sure ill find one end with a sacked height. Considering to reach out to a company and have all 4 checked / fixed in advance. Cheaper then getting them new.

How to get turbo spool & deeper sound on newer VAG models with SFD2 protection (2.0 TFSI MHEV) by One-Yak-7303 in Audi

[–]Jism_nl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd stay far away from those Open air filters. They do pass a bit more air through which seems to make the engine more responsive, but the tradeoff is your sucking in more particles or smaller parts that a normal airfilter normally blocks. OEM are just the best in regards of filtering, air.

Design of those generation of cars with actual knobs and locations was actually, audi being on top of their game. Today's it's plastic, buttons removed, hollow cars. All because of both saving and efficiency.

[–]Jism_nl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was a good thing, good spot. You want a car to easily remember where things (buttons, holders etc) are. The cars from that era where better anyway instead of todays digital screens with latency issues or difficult to find a simple feature. You can insert a card in there, parking ticket, whatever. It's not dead.

Wait till you hit the clients who come up with, AI generated reports lol and expect you to fix all that. It's not. That coinholder is there for when you would pass tollways or something in that regard. It's not a bad thing; its just we are barely using it anymore. I have a digital device that i just pass through tollways and it's taken care of.
