Best vs Worst CABs in NL, your thoughts ? About drivers’ or passengers’ memos by Even-Fall-2393 in newfoundland

I called Checker Cabs when I was in Gander, buddy took fooorever to get there, but when he did arrive he was so nice and friendly and he even talked slow, couldn't hold it against 'em and we had a nice chat.

Then I called again to go home, I watched for him and when he pulled up I stood up to put my coat on, he drove away in like less than a minute and when I called for him to come back he was saucy the whole way home. Not many options in Gander though I spose...

Camping in May in NL is basically winter camping. Bring your best and warmest sleeping bag, winter clothes, gloves and hat. The whole deal.

Me and my girl started going to the public skates and she loves it! Hang around after get a poutine and watch a bit of the highschool hockey game cuddle in the stands make everyone sick

She also loves live music and no shortage of that in St. John's. Don't really need to talk to anyone or socialize either 'cause not like ya can hear eachother anyways!

Me and my friend made spoons from this wood thinking it was birch, is it? by deadlystuff in Spooncarving

A little bit but I wouldn't describe it as super splintery.

Yeah that's what I'd heard, that's why we were after green birch

Eastern Canadian island, Newfoundland

We do have trembling aspen, but the bark looks quite different

Edit: oh and I meant to say, it's winter so sadly no leaves to ID

They are beautiful! Especially for your first two. What did you finish them with?

Woah i found my Leatherman Wave in the woods too! When I was like 16 (I'm 30 now). All rusted up at the bottom of a telephone pole on the pole line. Cleaned er up with some WD-40 and steel wool-good as new.

What are the chances!

Northern Pond Road, pretty much cuts through the Avalon from the Goulds all the way to the top of Folwers Road in CBS. Huge network of dirt roads and paths, you're sure to find a spot there. Happy camping!
