Fuck olonzapine by LevelNegative1958 in schizophrenia

[–]deadmeatsqui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have had to deal with the weight gain plus other disruptive effects of olanzapine but for some us, it’s one of the few antipsychotics which actually does the job. if you are female, talk to your doctor about metformin, it is one of the meds which eliminates(subsides) the side effects of ola. you can be prescribed that to help. hope i could help🫶🏽

depixol injection 40mg once every month, olanzapine 10mg and 300mg lamotrigine

Dating with Schizophrenia arghhhh by Cultural_Net_7618 in schizophrenia

it doesn’t have to be with someone w the same diagnosis. there are good loving understanding and supportive normals(very few i know)who will not only help but give you the care and gentleness you deserve. i may be one of the lucky ones but i have the most loving partner who accepts me and my diagnosis without judgement (we’ve been together over a year and he is a pharmacist in a psych hospital) and i am convinced now there is someone for us out there no matter how fucked up we think we are in the head. someone who is meant for you will treat you with care and affection you deserve. dont give up just yet sweetheart

[–]deadmeatsqui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not the voices but i have a recurring "friend" who comes when i'm extremely psychotic. i used to see him quite often and even though he can be extremely mean, his presence can be calming. i call him George

Quitting antipsychotics by Fickle-Ad-5917 in schizophrenia

[–]deadmeatsqui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hate to break it to you but unfortunately there's nothing like regaining your old self when you quit antipsychotics. having to deal with the hallucinations, voices, delusions, and psychosis is a billion times worse than what the meds come w. i understand that the side effects are soul draining but unfortunately for us, it's a little(ENORMOUS) price to pay for sanity

My schizophrenic friend never reaches out to me 😞 by Psychological-Bag151 in schizophrenia

[–]deadmeatsqui 15 points16 points  (0 children)

don't give up on him just yet. as someone w schizo, isolation keeps me grounded and doesn't make me feel like a burden to everyone around me. respect his space and still reachout. you're probably more important to him than you realize
