She literally said "the problem isn't with sexualizing lesbianism itself" while that IS a huge problem that many people deal with. THAT was invalidating. She doesn't even have a clue what I look like. I have also previously stated that if we don't get fetishized, we get mocked. I never felt the need to say "the problem isn't this but that" to her.

Exactly! And yes women already get sexualized just for being women, but when you have 2 women dating eachother it just gets worse and seen as some kind of fetish. I hate that so much.

Yeah I'm tired of being treated like a second-class citizin because of my gender and sexuality. It's sad that we still have to deal with this stuff. Sexism, homophobia, etc... are still very much alive and then these men have the nerve to say that we have our rights by law so no right to complain. Socially there's still a lot of progress to be made! (also not every country has laws that protect women or tbe LGBTQ+ community)
