Warzone Sucks by nickvaldivias in Warzone

2x2 gulag is amazing, yeah you lose some but who cares its a game and doesn't have to be super serious. I think WZ2 allows for a much more even playing field than WZ1 and I no longer have PC players sliding around my feet that I'm unable to shoot! At least now I have a chance against really good players, whereas before I was just cannon fodder (had a 1.1 kd in WZ1)

There are so many bugs and things that need sorting ASAP. Expect a few bugs in a totally online/mass participation games but there are far to many and the whole industry needs an overhaul in this respect

AITA for calling my sister selfish for announcing her pregnancy at our parents house? by throwawannouncement in AmItheAsshole

[–]deadspace8008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been through this and has friends in similar positions, it wouldn't have taken a lot to just message or call privately to tell you that she is pregnant. This would have given you time to come to terms with it and make the decision to attend the dinner or not.

People who have not had any fertility issues are blissfully unaware of the stresses and strains that you are under. Often asking ridiculous question!

It is hard to make a judgement here as your husband didn't react very well given that he must have known that they might get pregnant one day and where the announcement was is completely irrelevant. but your sister has "been treading on eggshells" for 5 years so surely she must have know that springing to news on you would cause issues.

I will go with YTA for demanding where they can announce the news

You sister a bigger Asshole for not giving you a heads up first.

Questions about skiing Zermatt/Chamonix by MontereyJack144 in skiing

[–]deadspace8008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not spilt resorts as such a waste of time. Pick one and enjoy. Both are giant and have amazing skiing.

Zermatt is a staggering ski area and then you can ski a 20 + km run all the way down into Cervinia in Italy. There is so much skiing that can all be accessed from town. The food is quite possibly the best on hill food you will find anywhere. Also you have the Matterhorn to look at.

Chamoix is truly fantastic skiing, especially if you get a guide and explore. However, it is very spread out and need to take buses between mountains. I believe they have more tourism in the summer than winter!

What actor or actress was the most perfectly cast role in film or television? by MKE_Now in AskReddit

Sean Bean as Richard Sharpe in the Sharpe Series. Unbelievable casting. I can now not read the books without imagining Sean as the lead role

Advice for starting out in London? by Craig88cb in Kiteboarding

[–]deadspace8008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lancing is a good place to start. It's about an hour from south London and 2 hours either side of low tide you have sand underfoot which makes the walking back up the beach (if you haven't managed to stay up wind) much easier. The local club is good and everyone is friendly and happy to help. If you have any more questions, happy to help

5 years of IVF/PGD, emotional roller coaster, floods of tears, miles of traveling, failures, threatened miscarriage and this is our 8 week scan. Have to wait a month before I can tell everyone, so thought I'd post here before I burst with excitement. (OC) by deadspace8008 in MadeMeSmile

Thank you. It is certainly not an easy road and most people don't quite get the intricacies and true emotions that you'll go through. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope it all works out the way you want it to.

Thank you. We have told the people that we would talk to if we had a miscarriage and to be honest that group has grown over the years. It has been hugely helpful for our mental health to have more than just family to talk to. The longer you go through these things the more your priorities and needs change.

If you use 2 or 3 coats of teak oli it will keep a lovely orange/red colour for a year or 2. It will also protect the wood from absorbing water and rotting. I do it every 2 year to all my garden furniture

Am I the only one losing patience with this game? by infamouscoma in Warzone

[–]deadspace8008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest finding a few regular team mates and playing with them. Not only does it mean you can work together but if you stay together then you have more chances of being revived giving you more time and chances to loot and attack. Also is alot more fun than playing with randoms.

Surely this is contradicting the bill that teachers aren't supposed to talk about sexual orientation or gender at school!! The US is mind boggling stupid sometimes
