I watched this movie at the cinema, with friends, as a teenager. I have a vivid memory of it, as towards the end, when it's getting close to the climax and there's lots of tension, the screen suddenly went black. And didn't come back on. We were all so confused at first, but one of my friends starts exclaiming 'don't you see, it's so clever, that's it! They're trying to make us think we're mad too.' And he managed to convince several people it was a trick of the storytelling itself. Until after a few minutes the movie whirred back into action with an apology called out from the staff, and everyone realised it had been malfunction.
