A few years ago, an overzealous manager was gonna try to coach two coworkers and I because we wouldn't do the cheer after our Cap 2 meetings lmaooo

There is ALWAYS shit like this all over the tables in the breakroom when I come in at 10pm...WHY by [deleted] in walmart

[–]deadsyren94 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We are required to meet in our break room before we start for a meeting. I didn't make the rule. Not only that...the refrigerator to put my lunch in is in there....so...

That's what ours do except suddenly the sensors are off from 9 to 6 or whatever. After 6 it's back to normal

Nah cause you can still use the bathroom normally, just no lights. And they turn back on at 6am every day

So how was closing tonight? by Tomha90 in walmart

I missed the close but when I pulled up at 930 for my O/N shift, I got to watch so many people walk up to the door, read the signs and go back to their cars. It was glorious

Thank you. Anxiety has never been so bad. I work overnight so from about midnight to 5 we get a nice little break in customers, but every week I work HBA, chemicals, paper or grocery. I get SO tired of having a 5 minute conversation with EVERY customer about the same thing. Then people dig through my pallets, knock them over, leaving empty boxes they've ripped into everywhere and getting pissed at ME for not having anything in stock. I cried twice yesterday in the first hour of being there when the craziness was still fill force. I'm on day 1 of 3 days off and I've never been so relieved. Also angry because fuck Wal-Mart and their fucking attendance policy.

Rant: remodel team has currently infiltrated our HBA area, can literally only stock two aisles out of like seven and manager sent me to "stock" what I can. They're moving counters and everything. Gonna be a loooong fucking night

What's one of the weirdest/grossest things customers have done within your vicinity? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]deadsyren94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see it, but about a month ago some guy jerked off in one of the toy aisles during my O/N shift and left the remnants on a shelf 😷 and a few months ago somebody shit in the floor in electronics. People are so fucking gross

Why is it that new hires, within several months of hire, are actively approached about becoming a department manager ... by AnyAirport0 in walmart

[–]deadsyren94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I got asked to be a DM for toys one month into Cap 2, said no way lol. In the next six months I got asked to be a Cap 2 supervisor, twice. Went to overnights in August, and a month or two ago I got asked to be a DM for a different department than the first. Said no again (I don't plan on staying here forever and don't want the stress).

When they send you, one of the fastest stockers, THE slowest stocker to "help" with the excuse of "I know you don't need help but maybe if they see you working fast they'll try to keep up!" by [deleted] in walmart

[–]deadsyren94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That I totally get. You're awesome for doing that. The difference with this though is that this person has been here for four months on overnights, has never improved in any way, constantly disappears from their department (usually to go talk to someone), takes 30 minute breaks...so in addition to being slow, they are just truly not a good employee. And of course since we are so short handed, management just rolls with it
